This is one of our favorite restaurants in the North Bay and may be the best restaurant in Petaluma.

The food is always excellent, as is the service. Additionally, their drinks are amazing, including quite a few coffee drinks unlike anywhere else in town. (We love that Annette (co-owner) usually has txakolina (a Basque white wine) on the menu, as well as several top quality draft beers.)

And although they aren't open for dinner, they do hold special dinners from time to time and chef Brian (co-owner) always does a bang up job with regards to quality and creativity.

Standout dishes for us include the Cassoulet, brisket, meatballs, picnic plates, bocadillo, and braised lamb, but honestly, you can order anything on the menu and it will be great.

It should be noted that this is one of the rare restaurants where the price on the menu is the price you'll pay. There is no tipping required because it's included in the price, and really, they actually discourage adding anything else...

We went here for the first time today and i was so impressed. The food was outstanding. We ordered the lamb burger and a fish sando. We also ordered a sour cherry mimosa (honestly the best mimosa ive had in Petaluma) and a watermelon mint lemonade. Then we ordered a peach crisp and a fig brownie that were both so good I would barely share mine. You can taste the skill of the kitchen and the quality of the ingredients, which i think stood out to me the most. There is also comfortable outdoor seating, something I always want when having lunch in Petaluma, but dont feel there are a lot of options. The restaurant is a very well thought out space. We...

Tips are included in prices. This place is a hidden gem; the menu is more inspired than 99% of the other restaurants in Petaluma and the prices are extremely reasonable. Dishes are cooked to order (waiting twenty minutes for the tagine is certainly worth it) and unlike any other meal you can find in Petaluma.

Several restaurants have failed at this location; I hope more people discover this place so it stays!

A note about service: the owner’s communication style is not entirely warm and inviting all of the time, but I eat out for the food; not the people, so I don’t mind. I’m including it in the review as feedback and for those...

Came back in May 2025. Continues to be outstanding executed food flavor profile is rich taste in depth, but not heavy and healthy. Wine pairing is fantastic. The desserts are to die for. everything on the menu is fantastic so I’m not gonna highlight anything. I will say that I love the service is included in the prices as well, so it makes it easy. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality and the service. Sitting outside on a warm day in Petaluma is paradise. The restaurant faces north, which is perfect on a warm day in Petaluma., Lovely restaurant with wonderful staff. Owner is a delight. Food is excellent.

Wanted to like this place, but left quite disappointed. Main issue had to do with the price-quantify-quality ratio. I paid $22 for a tiny ‘picnic plate’ that failed to be a ‘plate’ by any reasonable measure. What one should call 4 teaspoons (literally that was the amount) of dip plus two warm small pita breads is a tapa, or a side dish at most. Lastly, although I appreciate the push to reuse old/vintage tableware, we would have appreciated this being clean. Most obvious example being the water jars, which were grossly dirty.
