I got into Petaluma after 9 and needed something to eat after working and traveling all day. Speakeasy was the only business in the downtown area still serving food. This turned out to be a nice surprise. The patio area was pleasant with plants hanging all around. There seemed to be a popular bar area as well inside. For me it was just the type of meal and quiet I needed that evening. I had a green salad and the pesto chicken pasta. It was made with fresh pesto and seasoned just right. The chicken was a nice addition giving just a little more flavor to the pasta dish. I will definitely come back if I am here in Petaluma again.

Update! March 6, 2025 Back at the Speakeasy and enjoying their marvelous Braised Short Ribs: Creamy blue cheese polenta, beef short ribs, and red wine bordelaise sauce 24 (Gf). My palate is extremely happy about my choice! I took two out of town guests to dinner at the Speakeasy....we went because they are dog friendly and we definitely had a dog with us. We ate outside of the patio and it was delightful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the Speakeasy and I will definitely be returning for another special meal. Wonderful ding experience!

While visiting Sonoma and Napa for wine country we decided to stay in Petaluma. We stumbled up one this unique restaurant bar since it was open late on a Sunday night. and we were in mood for good food. The service was excellent and it was a nice cozy homey local feel. We all ordered the salmon and brussel sprouts. We also had the lobster mac (not imaged) which was delicious ! Definitely recc. There is also a little bar adjacent across the courtyard. that has live music. Will definitely choose to visit again on our next trip but during the day. The patio was so cute to enjoy sunny weather and good food.

Normally I don’t post reviews but this establishment should be given to an owner that actually cares for its customers.

My family and I have ordered the same exact meal multiple times about once a week if not every other week. It’s a simple order and for the prices they charge it should follow the same standard for each and every order.

The reason this restaurant will be getting a two star review is quiet simple… 1.) the fried chicken changes each time the amount you get. They say 8 ounces of chicken and give you anywhere from 5-7oz depending on the night. 2.) Called the restaurant to let them know that each week the meal comes in different portions and I got a hold of the owner. Once I told the owner about the situation, he seemed unbothered, uncaring, and quite rude.

No owner of an establishment should treat any client let alone a repeat buyer in the way he did. I will not be ever going back and I’ll make sure to spread the word around town how horribly the place is run.

Food gets a few stars, but the hospitality would score a zero for myself. Hope this helps others when deciding where to go. Plenty of spots around downtown that’ll charge you for what you receive both food wise and...

Even though this company has decent food, and since my experience it may have a better server than I had however I was given the worst service and worst treatment from the manager after going there for my birthday a year ago. My friends and Were harassed A server first it was my friends because my friends who could not find a table we’re waiting for a seat from another server but my server came and kicked them out for standing, my food came late and I noticed she was being short with us every time we spoke to her so I tipped her two dollars she proceeded to harass me and announce in front of the whole restaurant that I only tipped her two dollars which was way less than 10%, I went on to explain to her why she received what she did and then proceeded to make up another announcement that was also a lie saying I was calling her names. After realizing I was not gonna get anywhere and how shocked I was and how this just transpired I went to review it on yelp and then the manager a day later harassed me just like she harassed me, both of these people need to be removed and I will not be going to this restaurant and I will be spreading word-of-mouth how egregious of the hospitality service is...

This place had terrible service. My friend and I ordered coffee, hers came but mine literally never showed up. But also not too surprising since she didn’t bother to even write it down. My sister even asked for more of a sauce that came with her crepe and she was like oh yeah sure, and it also never came. Also a nice bonus, we watched tables show up 20-30 minutes after us get their food before us. Water glass sat empty for over 30 mins, with no visit from the waitress. But I did get to hear her come up to a table of her friends next to us and tell them about how she blacked out at 10:30-11 the night before and has an Uber receipt from 3:30 in the morning that she has no recollection of. The $15 bottomless mimosas are a crime. Small glasses, and as I said before the waitress never came by. But her friends got larger glasses that she was sure to top off. Honestly, I do think our experience today had a lot to do with our waitress and overall this place wasnt worth our time since we sat forever with no service! I will just say, if you have the dark, curly haired...
