I don’t understand what I did wrong to be treated this way. “Boy bye!” “Baby Bye!” As in “Get out!”. I have spent most of the morning conforming a client who’s lost a loved one. At 2:45 pm, Central, I was very hungry. I was initially going to order from Little Caesar’s. I used the restroom, and picked up the trash while I was in there (old habits from 30 years in the restaurant business). I waited at the counter, which was nicely adorned with Halloween themed items. I spoke out, “Hello?” And kept waiting. I turned and was about to leave when I heard the young lady approach. I remained grateful, I ordered my usual Subway six inch veggie, and asked her to waste neither the sticker nor the bag as I was eating in. I noticed the ingredients freezing on the sides of the metal pans and two open spots. I should have asked if I may make a suggestion, but always wanting to help, I mentioned to her that the forced air was escaping and causing the system to work harder and inquired if they had lids or two empty inserts. Her response was that there was a certainty that “she” (the other lady on duty, I gather) would fix it. I paid, somehow adding a $0.79 tip. I sat and ate. An older gentleman came in, used the restroom, and came to the point of order. He waited. From where I sat I looked back but saw no one. I gathered that they maybe conducting inventory in the cooler. I stood up to make sure that I could see the back. There was no one there. I opened the door at the entrance so it was chime to alert someone that a customer entered. Still no one came. I waited. This gentleman has been standing here for what feels like 3 minutes now. I went near the register and still thinking I’m trying to help, knocked on the wall and as I moved, my hand accidentally caught one of the Halloween wire basket-like display, that I immediately pick up and replaced. The young lady came out. I’m not sure what she said. I then stated that, “This gentleman has been waiting her for like three minutes.” He was polite stating that it was fine. I simply stated to him, “No. The same thing happened to me. I had to wait for a while.” Then, instead of “Thanks for letting us know” I was sarcastically told to leave with a “There’s the door! You have yourself a good day!” I was shocked. “Wait! What?” Then it came! The young lady said in a firm tone, “Baby BYE!” And “Boy Bye!” kept saying this “Baby bye!” Firstly what did I do wrong? Secondly, please don’t call me baby. I just tidied your restroom, bought a meal and sat here and ate and now I’m being treated like an unwanted second class citizen? I’ve become used to the racism. I hope this was not that but then what? I’ve never been spoken to in this type of dismissive, make me feel worthless way. I apologize for caring more about the sanitation, food safety, and customer service. I...
Read moreCame in and order a 6in sandwich. Asked the dude at the register which turned out to be the manger to change his gloves because he had use the same gloves while doing other things. Because I asked him to changed his gloves he immediately caught an attitude. My sandwich had been waiting at least 5 mins waiting on him to dress it because it was only two workers and plus they were busy. When he finally finished making my sandwich he proceeded to make the customer sandwich next to me which she had two sandwiches a 6in and a foot long. I asked him politely could he go ahead and wrap my sandwich up and cash me out before he started that. He gets mad talking about I’m in here trying to tell him how to do his job and that I’m rushing him. I said sir I’ve already waited over 5 mins for my food my food is getting cold and I’ve been patient enough. He continues to want to go back and forth with me about my food. I asked him who was the manager and he said he was. I was shocked to realize that he was the manager because of his behavior. His attitude was not call for at all and he doesn’t deserve to me in no manger position if he doesn’t know how to treat customers. I walked away very disappointed and disrespected all because I asked him to changed his gloves because that what brought on...
Read moreJust recently had one of the worst visits to a subway and we frequent subways wherever we go. This particular subway there was a guy working that was frustrated with us being there and with his work. He kept repeatedly saying he couldn't wait to go home or this day to be over with. He was very rude and the girl working with him want much better.we ordered our usual The Outlaw got long. I don't know how you can mess up a sandwich but he definitely succeeded in that for the first time that I have seen. We have visited this location 4 times previous and it was good but the workers seem like they weren't happy with their job. But this particular time it was completely awful. We will choose firehouse across the street or a jimmy johns instead because we don't want repeated bad...
