Ashburner Inn — Restaurant in Philadelphia

We were looking for a place to grab some dinner in Northeast Philly and stumbled across the Ashburner Inn. We figured we'd get a sandwich or some appetizers, typical bar stuff. When we arrived, we were greeted by a really nice dining room. It was bright, cheery and very clean. As we walked to our table, we noticed nearly everyone was eating pizza. When our waitress told us that it was half price pizza night, we understood why. The brick-oven baked pizzas on the surrounding tables looked good and the price was certainly right! So, we ordered 2 pies.

The pizzas were delicious. They were some of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was light and crispy and the variety of topping choice was great. Besides some of the basics like pepperoni, sausage, etc., they also have pizzas with prosciutto and roasted peppers, chicken and blue cheese, buffalo chicken, spinach and roast pork and others. We particularly like the Ashburner which had spinach, roasted red peppers, shredded mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto.

I’m sure the Ashburner Inn has other good food, but I will be back again...

I just picked up food from here I took one bite and had to stop eating to write this review. The food is delicious and the staff is incredible. They had an event booked there and a full restaurant but I still got served immediately. I got the vodka tortellini. Vodka sauce is my favorite and I haven’t found many places that have vodka sauce at all let alone an actually good one! I should have asked the waitress’s name that helped me. I believe she has brunette colored hair and she was very friendly, helpful, and fast even though she was in between helping her tables including one with a large group. I was going to write a good review just based off of how pleasant my interaction with her was even if I was disappointed with the food. This is very close to my work and I look forward to picking up lunch from here more often and hopefully I can dine in one night. My next business lunch will definitely be here with it being so close and having such good food! Plus they have a parking lot in case the street gets full. Outstanding service and food plus convenient parking....

My work mother and I love coming here. the food is always good. They have one size pizza but any flavor you choose is great. The black and blue pizza is one of my favorites, a definite must try. The cheesesteak egfrolls are the beat cheesesteak egg rolls I have ever had. They also have home made mozzarella wedges and they are huge. I absolutely love their French onion soup. There French fries remind me of chickie and petea crab fries. They have half off appetizers and happy hour for drinks and trivia if that's what you are in to. prices are great and there is lots of seating. You can choose toasit in the back for larger groups of people or you can sit on hight top chairs, you have the option to sit at the barinside and you can choose to sit outside seating as well, there is also a bar outside too. The staff is friendly and the bus boys are even better, they are constantly cleaning your tables. The service when I come here is always great and there is never any wait. This is definitely my go to place for my happy hour on drinks and my happy...
