Iāll start by saying I have never experienced such poor customer service at a food establishment as I did at the Boba King on Chestnut on the afternoon of 2/10/23. I was the only customer in the store at the time I ordered and I was never once even acknowledged or spoken to by the two women who were working in there. I placed my order at the kiosk while they both stared at one of the employeeās cell phones while discussing a negative customer review that the shop received, expressing how disappointed their manager was with it. A minute or two after I ordered, one woman finally went and got a cup and filled it with ice, only to set it down while the two resumed their conversation at the cell phone. After another minute or two, the woman went back to my drink, and added one ingredient at a time while pausing to maintain her conversation with the her co-worker after each step. When my tea was finally finished, the woman slide it across the counter towards me while neither woman ever even looked at me or said a word as they continued to have their conversation while staring at the cell phone. I completely regret leaving a tip at the time I paid, and wish I could take it back. I would never go to this location again. Employee conversations are apparently more important than actually...

They finally took my order and they said āIāll make right nowā as she said that she left the cup on the table and left to go do something else. After about another three minutes they started making it and I cannot explain how SLOW they walk and move. They have conversations in between making the drink which makes them stop or go even slower. I finally got my order and walked outside, I took a big sip and looked at the cup to see NO boba. I walked back in and asked if I had to ask for boba which I clearly did. They said yes and I said āSo where is the boba?ā They said they DONT HAVE ANY. For a place called BOBA King I would assume they would have boba. That is the only reason I went there in the first place, to get boba. This happened twice and for some reason my drink was more expensive WITHOUT the boba. Last time I went I spent 6.07 with the boba same size and everything. This time I spent 6.24 without the boba just the tea. I am really disappointed because I asked for a refund and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first time with this chain. After I placed my order at the counter, I went to grab a table on the upper floor to wait for my drink, and also to see the layouts of this store. The store was not busy at all and there was no customers before me or after me. About 5 mins passed by and still no one called for my order. I went down there to check and saw my drink sitting there at the counter while the staff was chilling and chatting with each other. So, they make the drinks, leave the drinks at the pickup counter, and DONāT BOTHER calling or letting the customers know the drinks are ready but just kick around and chit chat with each other? As regarding to the drinks, I tried the Mango Tango with tapioca pearls. The drink was bland, no taste nor flavor. The boba tapioca pearls were also tasteless and didnāt have the elastic texture like others. I suppose these 2 stars are for their efforts of making the drink for me and for the kinda cute layouts of the store. Other than that, this will be my first and also last time...
