Cosimo's Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

2025 UPDATE: it’s been six years since I’ve gone here and here is my new review for today. The customer service is somehow even worse. The prices are exorbitantly high for two cheesesteaks with no extra meat. It was over $30. The amount of meat they give you is sparse , the bread seems uncooked, and the service is just absolutely horrible in six years. It’s gotten worse, and clearly they don’t read these reviews, or take them seriously I would never go here

This could and WAS ( besides fiesta)the only pizza place in Chestnut Hill. Like many restaurants time has sapped the passion right out of it. The single slices we got: BBQ has virtually no meat and was so sweet it was bizarre. The chicken parm slice was a bland, thin undercooked mess that blindfolded not a dingle person could huess the flavor. It is relatively clean. The lay out is wonderful but the absent customer service and not just lack lasted but sadly bad tasting pizza has turned me off. I don’t get it. The owner is on sight and works hard. I see him. How can you not taste your own food because if you did. You say the same thing. I hope they make a full turn around but as for now unless some gesture like cheaper prices (good lord) or a discount system, I sadly have to say- IM NOT COMING BACK AT ALL.

The food is good, but there is always an issue of time and respect. I've stood in line and have people walk away from the counter for minutes at a time when it was time for ME to order. I've placed simple orders and seen the entire restaurant have an entire new batch of patrons inside even though I ordered before most of the people who left. Placed orders had them be wrong and had to wait, again, for everyone else to get their order before mine was fixed. Last time I was in a hurry to get somewhere, so I CALLED AHEAD FOR 4 SLICES IN 2 BOXES,,,,,,,, HOW WERE THEY NOT DONE WHEN I GOT THERE 12 MINUTES TO LATER???..??.? I just walked out. Side note, I don't look like the staff of this establishment.... I'm not saying that is the reason for my poor experience of customer service, if that isn't the reason, 8 don't know how people go back enough to keep...

the only reason i didnt give 5 stars was because they put no fork in with my sante fe salad and for that big salad it should have came with 2 but ok now the food ! i ordered a slice of sausage a sante fe salad and a cheesesteak with cooper sharp and fried onions the slice was spectacular the sausage was so flavorful crumbled just how i like it the cheese was also high quality and very good crust the sante fe salad was so fresh chicken cutlets were well seasoned and the tortilla chips were super fresh almost ate them by themselves super good just next time more dressing and now the cheese steak i mean it measured with any top cheese steak place in philly cooper sharp yes please and the meat was very high quality very good made just how i asked i think this place food is very good and well...
