Placed a delivery order 8/2/2023 for mozzarella sticks and a small Athenian pizza. Iāve been a customer for 20+ years & these were a regular order. As in once a month with the occasional burger deluxe.
The food was completely inedible. The mozzarella sticks were undercooked, stuck together in a blob dripping oil. The pizza - the dough was semi-cooked in the middle, crust was like a rock. Ended up throwing it all away, waste of food and money. Spoke with very nice day supervisor, showed her pictures, she agreed with me, said to call night manager & heād take care of refunding. He wonāt unless I bring the food back, which I canāt because I threw it out. Canāt keep food out here. He argued with me about the pizza when itās the only pizza I ever order, so I know what I should be getting. Not a too greasy to pick up, undercooked in the middle, hard on the outside crust pizza.
I wish we could upload pics here so I could just show what I got. Evans has, due to the very rude night manager, likely lost a very long time customer. I cannot recommend to my neighbors and risk them getting an unacceptable order. If I lived closer, wasnāt a disabled senior, I would have taken the food back last night. But itās a bit of a hike, especially at night alone. Iām very disappointed with the attitude I got from the night manager. Dismissive,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my first- and probably only- google review of a restaurant. I have no complaints about the food (good, not great- get what yo pair for, fair value) but the customer service is horrible. I ordered through Grubhub and they got my order wrong, and when I called in they were closed. That's fine- people want to go home, I can understand getting an order mixed up. It happens.
Today I called Grubhub to talk about the situation, and after the rep called Evans, they told her I needed to return the pizza. Return. The. Pizza. I'm sorry, but I'm not driving 15 minutes out of my way in the city to return a pizza order that THEY messed up, just to get a refund. Really? It's almost insulting that they'd ask, because this means two things:
They plan on re-using the pizza. This is probably even worse... They're trying to make things difficult. I can't see any other reason why they would ask to return the day old pizza to their shop.
I'm incredibly disappointed. I've ordered from Evans every week for almost 4 years of my undergrad at college, and have never in my life experienced this level of customer service, here or anywhere else. I will never again order from Evans, and I would encourage people to read some other reviews on here regarding...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter 5 years of being a loyal customer to this establishment I must, unfortunately, end this relationship. Tonight I order spaghetti with chicken parm and added meatballs to the spaghetti. Now, for $3, I was expecting either a pretty large meatball or some smaller meatballs peppered throughout the dish. What I received was both insulting and very disappointing. In my dish, I found one puney meatball and based on the composition and taste, I could tell it was a frozen meatball. I know I wrote a negative leaning review two nights ago about the late delivery and cold food I received, so I might seem a bit critical. However, over the last six months the quality of the food and customer service has rapidly declined. I wish this place the best of luck and no hard feelings as I remove them from my list of trusted delivery options...
