EVO Brickoven (Mt. Airy) — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I last went to this take out restaurant a little over a year ago, and also got some unacceptable take out. I recently moved back into the area and am hoping that their food preparation has improved. Before the pandemic their food was better. At the time, I ordered a spinach based salad that was supposed to include fresh baby spinach, carrots, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, eggs, tomatoes, kalamata olives and a salad dressing. The take out order when I got home had no salad dressing and was loaded only with spinach, with maybe a small amount of carrot slivers. What's more, the spinach had some sandy soil residue or pieces, as if it hadn't been washed and was mashed together with the longish stems still attached. There was no tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, eggs, etc. I literally had to not eat most of the salad. As the pandemic was still winding down at that time, the restaurant was not allowing people to actually enter, but had a woman handing the take out orders to customers who were walking up, and I recall her also saying something inappropriate...

Agree with other review re: Margherita pizza. The Cheese is like PLASTIC. I REALLY wanted to like this place! The customer service was great. The man answered questions, offered discounts and described the Margherita pizza very well on the phone. AND it was only a 45 minutes wait for delivery! I ordered the Margherita and a caesar salad. I am sad to say, I was very disappointed in the pizza. The Crust was DELICIOUS and fresh. Great flavor and olive oil. Great garlic and basil but the CHEESE???! Margherita is supposed to have FRESH mozzarella not the low-skim kind (plastic) I have always ALWAYS had FRESH MOZZARELLA. It was so disappointing :( I was looking forward to this as one of FEW orders I've placed since the pandemic. The salad was fine. The Parmesan was just dust. NO sign of real cheese. I added my own Trader Joe's Parmesan. The service was good but sadly the Margherita was not. VERY sad and disappointing....

I ordered delivery for a beef steak sandwich with "extra, extra onions andmushrooms. The delivery time posted around 8:41pm. I went to the kitchen and made a milkshake for my beverage. At 8:50, no delivery so I called. No answer. I stood by the window on the second floor at 8:36pm because it takes a while to come from the third floor to the first. No one came. Finally, around 9:10pm, I went downstairs to get my mail. The sandwich was on top of my packages. No one rang the bell! Now I know I tagged it S "no contact delivery", however, I at least expected someone to ring the bell. As a result, in less than 32⁰ weather, the sandwich was cold. Additionally, the sandwich had no mushrooms or "extra, extra onions"! This was/is the worst delivery I've ever received! I will never order anything from them ever. Unless, the zombie apocalypse occurs and it's the only place in the world with food and even then, I might make out...
