The idea of a “coffee place” is bigger than getting caffeine or a scone to go. How do the baristas make you feel? Do they source their ingredients in an ethical manner? Do they encourage people to meet, talk, enjoy each other? Do they support the local community? Do they make an espresso with care? Are coffee drinks staples on the menu, not an after thought or button that gets pushed? If these answers are yes, then support that local coffee shop. They are a gem and need your support. High Point is that place. They help make a city block a community. The location is unique. Seating inside is limited so show up with patience if it’s crowded. Nicely situated at a train stop. The fresh baked goods offered are amazing, great variety and high quality. The crepes are a unique hook and are worth a try. I love it when coffee places have a nice tea selection, and we have that here. Many boxes checked and I will...

This is a rare exception because the product and environment are just so dang good. (Both locations) It feels like what I imagined neighborhoods should embody when I was a kid. A feeling of connection. Reliable comfort. They clearly appreciate and work to be connected with and in support of their community. They make their syrups in-house and their pastries are fresh.    Read moreWhat a real gem. High point cafe alone is a big convincer to move to the area. This location is situated at Richard Allen train station in the old ticket office. Historic and such an aesthetic. Now the food and drinks offered definitely holds value. All their food other than crepes are made at their local commissary servicing their two locations. All quality items worth getting. Quiches on the weekends some of the best in the area. The staff are knowledgeable, warm, and inviting. I am always looking forward to absorbing their good energy that vibrates through the whole shop. 10/10 recommend for a quick treat or simple...
