Foodpoint Deli — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I stopped here on my walk home from a salon appointment. I had started craving a good sandwich and a cup of soup so I googled "sandwiches near me" 🤤 This place popped up and I honestly couldn't place it in my head... Broad & Castle? I must have walked by here 1,000 times and never realized it was a deli. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is packed with goodies inside. The man at the counter was super friendly. My turkey hoagie and Italian wedding soup were ready within minutes (and packed very carefully I should add). I looked around while I waited, cereal, Ben & Jerry's, a Monster energy drink cooler (I don't drink them but was surprised to see a cooler dedicated to them), an ATM, a dessert cooler, and candy candy candy. This place has everything!

When I pulled up to Foodpoint Deli, I was skeptical — 4.9 stars? Maybe just the locals showing love? But the second I walked in, the vibe was legit. Bigger than your typical Philly corner store and full of good energy. The staff-customer interaction was top-notch, and the grill guy was especially chatty (in the best way). 🥩 My order: Cheesesteak with fried onions on a seeded roll (worth the upgrade). The grillman’s technique? Covering the onions, meat, and cheese as they cooked — and I’m here for it. The roll was a bit chewier than I prefer, but still solid. 🍺 Took my cheesesteak to Brewery ARS — and that was a great move. I truly enjoyed my food today. I ordered cheese fries that were still warm when I received them with a little crunch not burnt which I love. The Chipotle Baja Chicken Salad was tasty but, was missing my boiled egg. I also ordered the grilled chicken fusion panini which was so good minus the tomatoes that I noted not to be added. I would order from here again. I already told some of my co-workers. I still gave them 5 star due to my overall food experience and it was neatly packaged for the Uber Eats driver to deliver .
