J & J Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I called in to place an order. The lady that answered the food was very rude and caused me to never want to order from this place ever. This is my first time trying to place an order since I heard the place was very good but I have gotten rude customer service instead. The lady who answered the phone got very annoyed because I pronounced salmon a different way than she pronounced it. I heard her huff when I pronounced it and I ignored it to try and place my order. When I pronounced salmon again the way that I pronounce it she because very rude and said it’s pronounced the way she pronounced it and pronounced it twice. There are two ways of saying salmon just as there are two ways of saying tomato from different people. I do not appreciate calling to place my order to get a pronunciation lesson from this lady. That was extremely rude of her and I would not order from someone who feels that their point of view on a way to pronounce a word is the only pronunciation. Been going to this pizza spot for years and have always dealt with some form of rudeness from the lady at the cashier. I saw her use her hands to grab the pizza from the display to put it in the oven, I feel bad for whoever ordered those slices of pizza because she literally touched money and then proceeded to touch the pizza without any gloves/washing her hands. Disgusting. I didn't even want to order after that. Walked out after seeing this and went down the block to Slice and got better pizza and the staff were very professional unlike jj.

And to jj staff that replied to the more recent reviews, you guys aren't doing anything to change the staff. They've been rude/arrogant/racist for years and yet it's the same cashier ladies every time I go with the same rude and arrogant attitude. Worse and worse every time I go.

I didnt like anything the fact that im a chef i work with food and customer service so tonight i called and the first time the lady answered the phone and acted like she couldnt hear me so she hung up so i called back and she magically could hear me but couldnt hear my order and put me on hold i waited once it reached over 5 minutes I hung up so i called off my aunts phone and the same couldnt hear me put me on hold so finally after waiting patiently she comes back very rude I must add and i asked a simple question do you have any pizza specials when i say it was the most rudest response I literally hung up for the fact that im a paying customer willing to spend my hard working money at this restaurant you would think they had a little appreciation that without willing paying customers your established company would not exist need to give lessons on proper phone edicts and...
