This is the place where Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches come to battle. We wound up getting our sandwich from Pat's, but both Pat's and Geno's are great! Sandwiches run about $17.00, and that doesn't include fries and a drink, which are sold at another window.

Being my first time in Philly, I had to get a cheesesteak. Pat's and Geno's were on the top of the list to try. I'll be completely honest. I wasn't wowed by the flavor. The fries and the presentationnhowever, were pretty awesome. Great spot 👌

Genos is straight cash homie...so Pats got our credit. Good sandwich and fries...but as far as national spotlight...was a little disappointed! And what's up with wiz...nah...hard pass on my sub sandwiches. Decent enough for a tourist trap.

Dont eat here! Litetally, go anywhere else and you may have a decent cheesesteak. This was God awful! Cheesesteak was dry and flavorless! I took two bites and never touched the rest. Such a disappointment. My husband felt the same. He actually threw his away after one bite and was thoroughly pissed! I don't understand how the sandwhich was so dry when I asked for extra cheese.....the meat was cold, none of the cheese was melted, and the bread to meat/filling ratio was all off. There was so much dry bread in that first bite I had to take another bc I barely got any meat. This is a tourist trap! Don't go! I should've known the sandwiches were trash when I saw a bunch of folks drenching it...

When in Philly you must have a philly cheese steak! There are 2 restaurants on either corner Pats and Genos. They have a big rivalry about which is better and are a famous stop for many celebrities. We ate at Pats king of cheese steaks and was not disappointed. The line is always long so we waited about 15min. The steak was good and had a lot of meat and cheese. I also got peppers and onions with whiz. It was really good but my only suggestion would be to add mayo. The atmosphere and being downtown for the first time was full of people, cars, buildings, art work, and an energy that was palpable. The workers were friendly and accommodating. It's a MUST stop while...

Philly Cheesesteak Square is the perfect stop for an authentic cheesesteak experience. The atmosphere is classic and vibrant, especially at iconic spots like Pat’s Steaks. Open 24/7, it’s great for a late-night bite or an afternoon meal. With delicious steaks and fast service, it’s a must-visit for tourists and locals alike. The surrounding area is rich in history and charm, making it more than just a food stop but a Philly tradition. Whether you’re new to Philly or a regular, it’s hard to beat the energy and flavors here....
