Hello my friend's call me Elvis. I am actually a food critic. I had the most wonderful time at this place.This woman waited on me.Her name was ana. She was absolutely amazing. Whatever you're paying her you should double it. Make her a manager she is professional. Anyway, I wasn't there.I do believe it was at night time on july thirteenth. And I told. The waitress Anna with one n. My daughter said that dad , nobody can make meatballs better than you. So i've been searching 4. 4 years. To no avail. But I did get three Meatballs. My waitress asked me how are they. I said actually. They're not hot enough. She said we don't have a microwave. I don't want them microwaved. She said actually the kitchen's closing right now. Would you like me to give you another three out of the pot. I said I only ate half of one of them.Just bring me two more. She brought me three more. I was extremely extremely impressed. And the honey I asked for her to put it on the side , was to die for. Ever had it before my life in my old, old age. I also got a Cheese steak to go. I used to sell philadelphia Cheese steak meat in vegas. I lost fifty six pounds not intentionally. I am having a hard time getting it back . The weight. My stomach shrunk. I told my medical marijuana doctor I want some stuff that I get hungry. Too much information. I actually love it I haven't integrity. I say it like I see it. Anyway that waitress anna with one n. I actually couldn't give her enough money because I told her.I said would you like me to give you cash or put it on the credit card?She doesn't matter. I said yes it does. Anyway, this cheesecake.It took me.I'm eating the last bit of it right now.One month later it's maybe 2 and a 1/2 3 inches long.What I have left. I was thinking that it's probably bad. I opened it up out of the refrigerator and smell it and it smelt delish. I heated it up in the oven for 25 minutes.Wrapped in tinfoil.Oh my lord I thought I went to heaven again. I don't know, here's my list part and it's.The bar was closed when I got there. I was extremely disappointed. I felt like saying I'll go back there and make it myself. L o l. Ladies and gentlemen Elvis has left the building, but if you had know something go for this place,it is phenomenal. Please tell anna with one you know what I want to say. I wanna start up the Elvis mobile and come and see her again. But I want to make sure that I'm gonna get.I forget what it was checking amount of money off.Only drink them and then the bars closed.

We tried Joseph’s last night for the first time since the ownership change. We did take out and ordered two large pizzas. One cheese and one mushroom with 1/2 pepperoni. We also ordered some cheese fries and a cheese steak. Unfortunately they ran out of mushrooms so we just did a pepperoni pizza. When I arrived I was greeted immediately in a friendly way and directed to the counter. Our order was ready and hot. We started with the cheesesteak which was good. We did cheesesteak American with fried onions. The steak was moist, onions were cooked well and plenty of cheese. The roll was good. We took half and saved for the next day. It heated up well. My wife ate the fries and said they were good overall. We ate the pizza and thought it was good overall. The crust/dough was excellent. The puffy/airy dough was really good. It had a good taste and a bit of a crunch and was a little more done in some areas. The cheese and sauce were decent but I think this is an area of opportunity the owners have to make this pizza even better. My wife and father in law also made the same comment. Running out of the toppings mid week stunk, but I am guessing mushrooms are just popular or they are still getting a feel for how much to order. The pepperoni was really good. It was very spicy on its own but it permeated the sauce. Not a bad thing in my opinion. The char on the pepperoni made some of the pepperoni a little crunchy and delicious. The pizza reheated well also so if you can’t finish it in one sitting you can save the leftovers and have another meal. The only other recommendation I’d give is around the price. The pizza is a little on the expensive side. The pizza is a 17 inch pizza so it’s slightly bigger than other 16 inch pizza you get at some neighborhood pizza places but it’s approx $4 more for a pizza pie. Toppings are about 50 cents more here than other local places. I think Josephs is worth a try if you haven’t been there recently.

Haven’t been to Joseph’s in years since I was very young But since the new owners took over I stop in from time to time. The food has never disappointed for sure. The mozzarella sticks are one of my favorites and how I judge a restaurant to be honest. I know sounds weird but if you can create an awesome Mozz stick then I’m your customer for life. The Cheesesteak is properly portioned that doesn’t leave you hungry after eating. I’m a huge plain pie guy when I first try places to get the real taste of the products. After the first couple times then I venture into the other pizzas definitely all worth it. The upside down is one of my kids favorites. Says it’s the best in Philly. I’ve only had app, pizza and cheesesteak but anytime I’m in the area it’s definitely a must stop.

We all should know by now it is super hard to find great staff and how prices of things are skyrocketed for sure. But true Staples and business owners that pour their heart out to try to make it most reasonable for cost for the customers especially when the product is a high quality product and staff is super friendly that all comes with a price. Fortunately I feel as of the prices are set just right for the customer especially for the amount and quality of food that is proportion for each menu item.

Of course with every new restaurant staff gets overwhelmed especially when they get hit with a rush and some staff could be new and in training. It is expected for things to take a little longer. But unlike other places Joseph’s wait staff will come over, give updates, be very apologetic, cater to your table during little back ups and not ignore you and walk by like your party doesn’t matter. I give them a 10 Star rating on how they train their staff to handle times like this. When I was there I only experienced this one time and it was a Sunday around 6pm for dinner. I wasn’t thinking about the time of day when I went with my three sons and two of their friends during the holidays too.

The Staff is always friendly and has plenty on hand every time I went in. That is huge with it comes to running a business any more. A lot of people don’t want to work and that makes it hard for a small business to continue to operate. Clearly the new Owners care about their staff and that’s what makes the staff want to come in every day.

Top notch wait staff for sure that always greets you with a smile when you come into the place. They even acknowledge you when walking out as well saying have a good night, thanks for coming in or we hope you enjoyed

Also they have a parking lot that is well lite up at night and very convenient when stopping in. Also has plenty of street parking. Best of both worlds.

First time was dine-in and the cheesesteaks were amazing. Definitely an awesome Ribeye flavor in every bite. The atmosphere is amazing as well!

We just ordered an old world Margherita and a plain Pie. Wow, the dough is the freshest I've had in NE philly, including Ernies, Montecini and Don's. You can smell the dough when you open the pie box, and the pizza is cooked perfectly to where each nite of crust retains the outer crispy bite, while still retaining some soft and slightly salty and sour dough in the middle of the crust. The cheese proportions are perfect for the type of cheese being used. The cheese is a better quality which means it doesent sit in the stomach heavily and it also means NO GREASE! The sauce wasn't very sweet, it had more of a salty/garlic-forward flavor which contrasted nicely with the dough. If I had to choose one weakness of the pizza. For me it would be the sauce. I like a sauce that is more on the fresher and sweeter/lighter side. This sauce was more on the darker side, with garlic and salt dominating my taste buds. I did notice they have a "Sweetie Pie" and I'm guessing that would be right up my alley! I'll give it a pop bext time around. All in all, this is one of my favorite plain pies in the Northeast. The freshness and quality of the ingredients makes for a Standout Pie compared to MOST parlors in the Northeast. For that reason, I give the plain pie a 9/10. The old world Margherita I score the same. The cheesesteak was excellent and also a 9/10. The bread had a wonderful chew to it and it was so fresh I could smell it while taking each bite. The Ribeye was also fresh and bursting with flavor. It really stood out with the smallest amount of salt and pepper. When grading restaurants and considering price, I always take quality of ingredients into considerations. Joseph's uses some very fine ingredients and the smell, taste , and how you feel after eating their offerings all have to be considered when talking price points.
