I walked into this non descriptly signed cafe on a cold November a little after 10 AM. The interior was warm and I found the lighting whimsical if not slightly twee. There seemed to be ample seating and I approached the counter where a POC barista with a septum piercing was working. They greeted me and I began to give my order but they had to step away to give the food that was just brought in via the side door by a person without color but short hair to some other other customers. Afterwards, the barista took my order, and prepared my drinks, a latte and a chai latte. I also ordered an egg and cheese, which is served on a sesame seed roll, not a bagel, you should be aware. I noticed they had some books and magazines on the shelf which looked interesting, though one of the photo magazines was titled "Latinx" for one issue, which is an annoying word to see as a Latino. The latte was less warm than the chai latte but both were still good. They didn't have cup sleeves but the barista double cupped them for me. The chef brought out my egg and cheese to go and I was on my way. I enjoyed my drink and the sandwich at a separate location with someone and they really loved the fluffiness of the eggs.

I’ve been a regular at this place for over a year, and it used to be one of the best spots for coffee in Philly. However, the last three times I visited, my latte was nowhere near what it used to be. The milk was overheated to the point of being undrinkable, there was no foam, and the coffee was just bitter. I kept giving it another chance, hoping for a return to the quality I loved. This is the latte I received just a few days ago. It was so hot that I hesitated to drink it. After a few minutes, when I opened it up, all the foam had dissolved. Please train your new baristas on how to properly steam milk.

Beautiful scandi industrial interior, exposed brick walls and steel beams, plenty of seating, serving Rival bros and Moonraker at the time of my visit. I had a cortado which is buttery and creamy and tasted like caramel.

Went in on a weekday morning to catch up with a friend. We had to show our proof of Covid vaccine to eat in, was not necessary for take out. The barista was every helpful in explanining how they make their drinks and what kinda beans they use. Got the Cafe au lait with a cinnamon roll. The coffee drink was made to perfection, topped with the right amount of creamy foam and stayed warm throughout. The cinnamon roll was fresh and delicious. Definitely going back here for the calm & safe atmosphere and the...
