Michael's Water Ice — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This is the best water ice I have ever had. I encourage you to try many flavors, they are all outstanding in my opinion. If you're going for the first time, a safe bet at any water ice shop is to get a gelati. My favorite combinations are chocolate chocolate (AKA the Scotty Gelati) and Root beer with vanilla soft serve. The soft serve is above and beyond! The mouth feel (texture) is unparalleled and the chocolate and vanilla flavoring is rich and true. After a few visits, I encourage you to get a few different layers of water ice flavors. A red white and blue never fails to impress. Even during the busiest times with the line out the door and more customers stampeding down ridge for the delicious water ice, the staff remains calm and friendly while expediting orders very quickly. My Boyfriend and I went to Michael’s today for the first time. We live within walking distance and never gave it a try - let’s just say we will definitely be back!! We got a banana milkshake, mango water ice, and soft serve with toppings. It was all absolutely delicious and very fair price wise. The water ice was so flavorful as was the banana milkshake. The soft serve was so fluffy and light yet rich at the same time. The best part of our experience was the people! They were so friendly and kind and welcoming. The atmosphere here is special. We may have just found our new favorite spot. Can’t wait to try more goodies...

Michael is incredible and so friendly ! His shop is immaculate and he is always accommodating. He gives my dogs ice cream and my 3 yr old son adores him. I cannot say enough nice things about this establishment and owner. I also love their soup during fall /winter. We tried the chicken noodle and potato chowder both were excellent and had a kick .
