If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would, but unfortunately I cannot. First, the menus need to be updated to reflect the price increases, such as the grilled chicken caesar salad, which was $10.95 on the menu, but the server informed me that the new price was $14.00. Second, if you are going to increase the cost of the food because of inflation, have the decency to hire cooks that can prepare the food exceptionally and delectably, which is what I did not experience. The petite-sized chicken breast that was sliced and garnished on my caesar salad was overcooked. All of the juices that should seep out and please the palate was zapped from it. The meat was extremely tough, making it difficult to chew and swallow. I informed my server that the chicken was overcooked and hard to consume. The server asked if I would like something else instead, which I ordered a well-done waffle (crispy exterior and fluffy interior), scrambled light eggs, and home fries, fried hard. What was presented to me was not what I ordered. The waffle was undercooked. The majority of the waffle was pale with some hints of light brown. The waffle was soft and the dough/batter inside needed to be cooked more. The scrambled eggs were scrambled hard and the home fries were butchered and chopped up excessively. It was as if the cook was chopping up meat to put on a cheesesteak or maybe he thought he was at a hibachi grill. I have never had to take back food twice, but the worse part of this horrendous experience, was when I overhead the server, making sly and unprofessional remarks about me to the owner, a few feet away from me. She said, she couldnāt understand, how I could order my waffle well-done (which I never received), but take back the chicken for being overcooked? As a customer and also as someone who has worked at a restaurant, I have never heard something so imbecilic from a server before. How can you compare cooking poultry to cooking waffle batter? What level is her IQ? What exactly is the point of her asking how her customers want their food prepared, if she is going to complain about the answer to her question afterwards? What I found bizarre about her comment is she made the comment while talking to the owner, who had just apologized earlier for the overcooked chicken, which means that the ownerās apology was disingenuous because she did not admonish the server for her distasteful comment. I had to defend myself and enlighten the server about her ignorance. I will never go back. If you are someone, who wants quality food, great service, and prefers to be treated with decency, please do not patronize this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love them. Until they scammed me. I paid for my food $37 and some change. They said it all went through except $5. I used a different card to pay the remaining $5 balance. When I went to my car something told me to check my balances. On my Bank of America card, which was the first card I used, $37.17 was charged in the full amount. Then on my MoneyLion card $30.98 was charged and then another $5.74 was charged. I went in thinking it was a simple mistake they would fix but Kim kept putting her hand in my face telling me she didnāt do it. Her son came over and tried to explain to her that both of the charges came from her store on the same day and there was no way I could have did that myself. These are two separate cards and two separate banks. She walked away from me and her son and no one gave me my money back. Even though it was properly presented to her in black and white. I honestly wish I would have called the cops and got my money back than tk have just left. But I was so angry and hurt I couldnāt stay. She even came from behind the counter to confront me but never gave me my money back. Horrible business she blatantly robbed me and didnāt even try to make it right. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! If I could have given 0 stars...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWill NOT be returning because they did not mention their card machine was down on the phone and they overcharged me. Going by their menu i got a turkey bacon egg and cheese on a bagel $6, order of pork bacon & turkey sausage links $7, and 2 orders of home fries with extra extra cheese (3 slices per homefry which is comes to $1.50, $3.00 for both,$12 for the homefries. $25 total plus tax. Well apparently the tax was 5 dollars because my total came to 30.78!(add in another $4 in bank fees). i asked how and she says it was the extra extra cheese š” i was about to go off in there like š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬, but i paid and left when I should've just left with nothing. Before i could drive the 7 minutes home, the bag was soggy with grease.
I usually go to the bread and butter juntion on wadsworth ave, get the exact same thing PLUS an ice tea and $1 charge with card, it comes to $27 altogether. Oh and their homefries is the size of the platter boxes.
I will not stray from...
