Read moreI'll preface this by saying I'm a veteran of O'Jung's. It has changed a lot since I frequented 15 years ago, and realize times have changed, and Lou Jung died (still heartbroken).
This place now is for the youngsters. Sadly, it's not warm, nor welcoming anymore unless Harry, Holly or Mike are there. The female bartenders (why are they all blonde?) are all snooty and aloof to female customers.
My most recent experience, decided to go watch the Phillies, just hang out, and enjoy some of their "specials." Went in there wearing my O'Jung's shirt from 2008 I found!
Had been there for a bit, had a beer and a Jame-O, and decided to order their "chicken fingers and fries special" for $8. Ordered it, and asked for it to go, ordered another beer and Jame-O, and kept watching the game.
Food came in the to-go container, kept drinking and watching the game, decided the game was done, needed to get home, asked for the check. The chicken fingers was now $14 because it was "dine-in only!" Laughable and outrageous (I had already spent over $20 on drinks while there)! Asked "Miss Snooty" about it, she said I had to pay the full price since I wasn't eating it there, so I opened it and started eating (WITH NO FRIES in there). She then agreed to take the $6 off, I broke a crown on the chicken finger (in the food - ugh!). Asked for the check. THEY ONLY TAKE VENMO. Was gonna' pay cash, but the ATM wasn't working!
Oh well, times have changed. Miss the...
Read moreSo I just left this establishment. The food is great, there’s no doubt about that. The problem I have is with the money. When we were finished eating, our waitress was no where to be found, then I see the owner/ manager/ bartender, pouring a shot and proceeds to down the shot with customers while I waited to pay for my bill, then when one of the girls finally asked if we needed anything, she told me we had to pay via Venmo or cash, which I made sure to check the website prior to coming, and it was never mentioned, so I venmoed an unknown named that came up via the QR code, then when I asked the waitress if she could give me change for my $20 (on a $44 tab) and said no problem, then took it and said “thanks” and walked always , no change in site. We left very disappointed. Again, great food, but definitely for locals or friends of the establishment. Would not return to...
