This Panera location is an absolute failure, and it’s honestly embarrassing given where it’s situated—serving CHOP, Penn Medicine, and the surrounding research and medical community where nearly everyone is on a strict schedule. There is nothing “rapid” about their so-called Rapid Pick-Up system. Multiple times, I’ve ordered an hour in advance—basic, staple menu items—and still found myself standing and waiting. By the time my order is ready, any convenience has been erased. The line of frustrated customers waiting for overdue orders is a constant scene. If you cannot operate in a way that accommodates the unique demands and volume of this campus, you simply won’t last here. Efficiency isn’t optional in this environment—it’s critical. To make matters worse, the quality of food is subpar. If you’re going to make people wait over an hour for a simple sandwich, at least ensure it’s fresh and prepared with care. Instead, the food feels rushed, sloppy, and far from Panera’s supposed standard. Bottom line: this location is failing miserably at the basics—timeliness, quality, and reliability. Unless major changes are made quickly, this Panera won’t survive in a place where people’s time is worth more than sitting around waiting for a...
Read moreFor the most part it’s is okay. I just had a weird encounter with the female manager… me and my co worker have been doing rapid orders since they started. Which means our order should be ready on the shelf once we are alerted . We all take turns going to pick up the items. When I gave the names she informed me that we aren’t allowed to pick up each others orders… like huh she said my friend needs to pick up her order and show a ticket. I’m like that’s weird because I didn’t just show you a ticket for mines I just gave you my name. Would you like me to have her send a picture . She likes pictures aren’t acceptable. Next time she needs to come. Then she proceeds to tell me people been stealing. Like what does that have to do with me !!! We did rapid orders you alerted us that it was ready if it was where it was supposed to be we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. It was just very awkward as well as...
Read moreI ordered in the app. It told me my food would be ready at 12:23. I showed up early, just in case. In ordering my food, I looked closely at the ingredients because I have a few allergies. I ordered the strawberry caprese salad. My drinks were made and then sat there for 15 minutes melting before my food finally came out at 12:57. I rushed back to the hospital to find the thing I am allergic to on my salad. Onions. NO WHERE did it say this salad had onions and no where does it allow you type in specific odd allergies such as this one. AND THEY FORGOT MY CHICKEN
Very disappointed.
*Update: I decided to go back for the chicken and the manager was very nice and gave me the chicken for my salad and apologized...
