Pete's Famous Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The first thing that comes to my mind is how they have remained open for so many years. Do people think this is quality pizza???

I ordered the Margarita pizza, and I have had generic frozen pizzas that looked and tasted better. Cardboard comes to mind, and no, I’m not referring to the box it arrived in. They say you eat with your eyes, and I wish that’s where I stopped. It looked pathetic and tasted worse. My wife and I couldn’t even stomach a full slice. The jokes were on me as they charged $21 for a 14-inch pie. The ingredients could not have cost more than $0.85. A clear winner for them.

I’m so glad I didn’t put our eggs in one basket. I decided to add a cheesesteak, wings, and an order of cheesesteak egg rolls. I’m sure glad I did, or we would not have had dinner.

The cheese steak egg rolls were prob the best of the lot. Flavorful with the Sriracha ketchup dipping sauce and a nice crust. Some may say a little too thick of an egg roll, but it was right on point for me.

The wings were decent, even if 2 of the 6 had broken bones. Not a good sign of the freshest ingredients, and at close to $2, a wing was expecting more.

The cheesesteak was a good Philly cheese steak. A decent amount of meat, provolone, friend onions and I added shrooms.

All in all a 5/10 to me. Will I order again, most likely not. There are too many quality pizza joints and wings/cheesesteak places in this city.

A legitimate dump. You ask for a lightly cooked pizza and they send you a burned one. Then the delivery guy doesn’t even say hello but simply yells the price as if he was raised in the woods without manners. Then when you call the place to tell them the pizza came burnt they put you on hold to ask the cook what happens as if the cook with admit he messed up or as if he remember what pizza and he made for who. THEN they get back on the phone to tell you that the owner in the back is telling them to tell you that is the... cheese they use that is “ dark “ ... that’s a first . I guess Italians now came up with a mozzarella type that is supposed to come out burnt. As if we don’t know how cheese looks when it’s not burnt or why cheese is crusty ( when overcookes) . Flat out cheap ignorants that would rather to lose a client then replace a pizza they messed up. Hey owner , keep the $30 and the replacement ... it seems that soon you will be needed that money to pay ur damn rent when u go out of business. Ur in the wrong...

Ok so after year of supporting this business they get someone at the register not the normal sweet lady who is there majority of the.time this person was incompetent got the order all wrong after repeated to her a million times smh. Finally they sent these nasty steaks not chopping up the meat condiments food was over $50 they retaliated by saying no delivery smh.. u spend almost $60 and they get mad bcuz you want your food done right no you cannot send condiments on the side that were meant to be cooked on the sandwich instead of having the problem with the customer how bout make sure the person taking the orders is competent and not overwhelmed.. that was the issue basically And value customer hard earned money take pride in service and not deliver anything expecting ppl to be ok with.. I’m fine with your choice of not delivering I actually find it hilarious… considering the competition...
