Pete's Famous Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Have ordered here since they opened about 2 years ago. Food taste and quality are not consistent. Have had pizza and steaks that were good and some horrible. I don’t know if they play around with their recipes or inconsistent with cooks who know their recipes. The last time we ordered a pizza and it definitely wasn’t the pizza we ordered prior due to lack of taste and quality. I put them on my mental do not order from list. Tonight tried again for the hell of it and to give them another try after not ordering from them in so long. Upon arrival I thought my cheese fries which cost $7.99 were possibly sent as a small and not a regular order as the container was the size of my women hand. I called to confirm and the staff who answered said that is the right size for their regular cheese fries. I expressed how over priced this was for such a small amount. Our house has been a Pete's fan and customer for a long time. But they've raised their prices too much, quality has gone down, and they frequently make mistakes on delivery orders. We ordered a tuna grinder, Italian grinder, and onion rings - that's it. And it was $50 in the end after tip. $50! They also tack on a $4 delivery fee, which you can guarantee isn't going to the delivery person. If it is, it should say so. The hoagies were nothing special and kinda gimpy. Stingy on ingredients. Didn't get the fries on one sandwich, but it was on the receipt and paid for them. The other order of fries was cold. Maybe it's just this location, but we're still disappointed.

It's a shame. It seems like they took advantage of COVID or inflation and raised prices because some businesses had to, but the ingredients they use are still the same price at the stores and not premium quality. We feel ripped off and are done with...

You can order your food the one u want it. They only can cook it how they want. It’s a point system that customers can use when they order their food to get may some money off of your order there a lot but every time I try to use mines it say the same thing u have 15 points and 31 points to get your 7.50 off. No one in the store that’s works there knows how the point works. They get frustrated when I even ask about it. Outside of that they are nice people.
