Pete's Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I ordered a large pizza, grilled chicken cheesesteak and mild buffalo wings at 5:21pm Friday 5.30.2025 at approximately 5:36 pm I was sent a text that said the order has been picked up and is on the way. I immediately called the store and asked how was the food prepared and out for delivery so quickly and informed them that I did not want the food if it’s not fresh and freshly Made. The woman on the phone changed and said oh it’s not out yet. I said ok. 10 minutes later the food arrived and it was not fresh!! The wings looked horrible and the chicken cheesesteak was not grilled chicken breast like I was told and it was sloppy, cold and looked as if it had old meat mixed with a little bit of new meat and not one of the extra condiments I asked for was on the steak! I called and they was upset and said all of the food was fresh and said I had to bring it in for a replacement. I ordered delivery for a reason and my husband wouldn’t be home until close to 11pm. I love this place but today was a lot! The manager in charge was AWESOME let me say that, but i order at 7:24pm for delivery. Since i order there often my info is in the system & i paid with my debit card, was told 30/40 mins. At 8:09pm i called back to check on the order. Was told by the same person who took my order that it had just left for delivery. At 8:37pm i called back and was told that my delivery was put in as pick up & that was why i was told it was out, to give them about 15/20 mins they would make a new one & have it right out to me & was offered a free soda. (Again a great manager) At 9:26pm i called back and was told not only would i have the remade fresh food but the old food also w/soda.. And the driver was about 5mins away. 9:34pm called back was placed on hold and while on hold a guy on a scoter came with both pizza boxers & NO soda. We usually order from Pete’s and the food is late, but this was the last time we’re ordering from Pete’s. The food came an hour and a half late and wasn’t exactly what we ordered. We were constantly calling to see where our driver was and the person on the phone would say “they’re in the area” or “they are 5 minutes away”. We tried to cancel and get a refund but they said no because the driver was already on the way. When we ask to speak to the manager the they would keep saying “they’re manager will give you a call” but she didn’t call until the next day, and when she did call back, she had the worst attitude I’ve ever had to deal with and was no help at all. Then she said all calls are recording and that we never called or spoke to anyone. We have proof that we called, spoke, and got answers from the workers. If they record the calls than LISTEN TO THE CALLS AND LET US KNOW IF WE WERE LYING. All we wanted was a refund but instead we got our time wasted. Never...
