Unacceptable Experience at Philly Fitness (2077 Ridge Avenue)
Iām a Wellhub member, and Philly Fitness is listed as one of their partner gyms. Today, I visited the Ridge Avenue location and had one of the worst experiences Iāve ever had at a fitness facility.
Upon arrival, I was denied access, even after presenting the app properly. The staff was completely unprepared and uninformed about how the Wellhub system works. They looked confused, showed zero professionalism, and made me feel extremely unwelcome. Then, they called the manager, who was shockingly rude and told me to leave immediately with no clear explanation.
I was publicly embarrassed, treated with disrespect, and made to feel as if I was trying to sneak in without permission ā even though I had every right to be there as a Wellhub member.
Not only was I denied a service I pay for, but I was also humiliated in front of others due to the total lack of training and professionalism of the entire team.
This gym should not be listed on Wellhub if theyāre not prepared to treat members with basic respect. Absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI truly wish the quality of this gym stays the same. I went around 3pm until 6pm which is generally a busy time for gyms. The gym was not overcrowded. The staff are friendly, and they are constantly cleaning up around you. Community felt very safe and welcoming. In fact, I was struggling to put a barbell back and without even noticing one of the guests rushed to me and helped me put it back. Shoutout to him, never had that supportive experience anywhere else. I visited many gyms around the city many with higher membership prices, and nothing can beat the quality of this gym. Also the equipments are about complete collection of what you might need in intermediate or even advanced body building, which is generally hard to find with high quality or fair membership. And cardio machines were up to date and abundant. Thanks Philly Fitness, you brought hope to my heart...

I called on September 14th to request a cancellation and was told I needed to email the manager, Taya. I sent the email that same day, but as of September 19th, Iāve received no response. I followed up with another call on September 17th and again today, September 19th. Both times I was told that the cancellation wasnāt in the system, even though it should have been. I was also told (both times) that someone would put it into the system and follow up with a confirmation call but that still hasnāt happened. So good luck if you ever try to cancel...
