Before coming here I am so hyped up with the pizza’s!! I had reservations today and ordered the vokda roni and plain rossa pizza And the ricotta fig - i thought there’s hot honey?? The fig jam so skimpy just not even a tablespoon. The foccacia felt burnt to my liking it’s not golden brown. The pizza’s for me I had better ones. I thought this one is a sourdough based crust. The crust felt off. Sorry I am disappointed with the two pizza’s I should have gone somewhere! Sorry I thought I would be in awe! But I came home dissapointed and hungry. It did not satisfy my pizza cravings. I felt the pizza dough was off this evening.

Marrah's wasn't open yet so we decided to give Pizzata a try. The atmosphere was cozy, but basic and the staff was friendly enough. Maybe it was an off day, but the service was slow for a simple pizza order, taking about 40 min from sitting to receiving our food. The pizza caponata was tasty and definitely a cut above your typical pizzeria. The crust was very tasty and a bit thicker than what you get a Marrah's, which will no doubt appeal to some. But that's the problem, it's a block away from Marrah's, which in my opinion, has the superior pie. But it's all subjective and I would recommend giving Pizzata a try.

A nice locally owned place to get out for a bite to eat. The Margherita pizza could’ve used more cheese to even out the sauce which by the end became kind of overwhelming. Although I left feeling disappointed despite the high marks in previous reviews, make no mistake that the pizza was still delicious. Washing it down with some authentic Italian Peroni Beer on tap was a bonus. Service was slow, as if they were overwhelmed with a Saturday evening crowd. Perhaps a hit or miss place between getting a very good pizza and a great pizza. Worth the stop if you’re in the area.

Pizzata on 22nd street has been one of my favorite pizzas in downtown Philly. When the new location opened on East Passyunk we were excited to sit and enjoy their pizza in a larger restaurant.

I called the new location at 6:20 pm to put our name on the waitlist and was told it would be around an hour. We arrived 35-40 minutes later and my partner kindly asked as gentleman at the front counter if our table would be ready early, if not we would go have a beer across the street at Human Robot. The host responded to her in a demeaning tone which came across as “I told you an hour, it has not been an hour.”

After having a beer across the street, we walked back over at 7:30 to ask about if/when a table might be ready. The same host said tables weren’t opening as quickly as he anticipated, but we were next on the waitlist (which I physically saw on paper) and it would be 20-30 more minutes. By no means his (or the restaurant’s) fault, so no worries we waited outside while my father in-law sat at the end of the bar, near the host’s table, to have a drink.

40 minutes later (now almost an hour after we were told we would be seated) we saw 2 other parties of the same size walk in and the host seated them. While at the bar my father in-law overheard the host tell the staff to ignore the waitlist and “move things around” to seat the other two parties that just walked in.

Due to our experience and the poor customer service at this Pizzata location, we will no longer order from either this or the...

Very good pizza! I'd never had a sourdough crust pizza before - new fan! I will preface that I'm disabled, about 6 blocks from the place - can't drive or walk to it. If delivery is necessary, DO NOT USE SLICE, use Grubhub as pizza WAS $20 MORE WITH SLICE! (OWNERS - TAKE NOTICE)

I got the CAPRICCIOSA ($20 for 12"): Red sauce, fresh mozzarella, Italian ham, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives (and fresh basil). This kind of pizza has my go-to ingredients, never had w/artichoke hearts, which were not the marinated version.

Those new to sourdough crust ... awesome! Semi-crispy on bottom, fluffy-ish outer crust, almost like a bread stick! (Sourdough's good for your gut, btw.)

Best pizza I've had in Philly (I'm half Italian). They have an "add $6.00 for our staff" on the menu, even for the Online Order menu. With tax, title, and license, this PIZZA WITH "SLICE" WOULD'VE BEEN $47 (without "$6.00, please add for staff"). OWNERS, DID...

There was a slight wait to get a bar seat and to get initial service but once they gave us their attention, we did not lack for anything. The lovely lady who greeted me when I walked in happily put down my name and number. She said probably 30 minutes. I went next door for less than 5 and she had actually called me twice. Even though I didn't answer, she held my seats. I didn't feel my phone go off. I called back and she told me I had somewhere to sit. She remembered my name, went out of her way to assist me, and even said bye to me by my name.

The food was great. The bartender, I want to believe his name is Daniel, was amazing. I had a long work week myself and feel terrible I'm not sure of his name. I came in on 2/13/25 if that helps. It was at the end of Happy Hour and you could tell he was swamped. However, he kept his calm and went out of his way to help a coworker when a guest was being rude and irrational....
