Ok this is definitely a Mom & Pop dive joint. It's a lil rough around the edges and may not look very appealing BUT the inside has magic. Whom and whatever is making the barria tacos 🌮 😋 has the winning ticket. I randomly was searching for something on door dash for lunch while I was at work. I chose it for pick up when I got in honestly was about to turn around but the picture, although it doesn't do it justice, looked appetizing. All in all I went through with it. When I got to work and opened that tray.......something came over me. I there was garnished side of cilantro and diced/chopped onions. The au jus for the barria on the side. Listen I devoured that meal as if it were my last. So good brought others to it. But honestly the locals know. Honestly may not seem very busy but there is a consistent Doordash or UberEats driver picking up and carring out.

Update on this review. La raza closed its doors. Yay. New owners and remodel restaurant. The new place is called Rico Mexican Tacos. I have eaten from them when they used to be located on Emerald & Allegheny Ave. They have amazing food. The guacamole is made freshly at the moment of order. they have homemade tortillas. The food is delicious. Go and give them a try. If you love Birria tacos they have Birria quesadilla to die for. Really good food mixing mexican and puertorriquen cultures.

Absolutely disappointing. Ordered pork tacos, and they were bone dry—like chewing on overcooked cardboard. The food was absolutely flavorless. To make it worse, they completely forgot to send the salsa, so there was no way to even try to salvage them. For the price, this is unacceptable. If you enjoy bland, dry tacos with zero effort put into them, this is your place. Otherwise, save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about their food.

Not even gonna lie, I’ve never left a review ever in my life but by all means this BS restaurant needed one. For starters you walk in this place and it smells like a basement, seriously. You can hear food being cooked but you can’t smell it because of the overwhelming stench of the place. The tostadas shells were stale and tasted old, the lettuce in the burrito was so soggy and chewy it was disgusting. Seriously one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve been too. They’re selling random stuff in TVs, perfumes lol. Not to mention they’re expensive, there’s a Mexican food truck on 3rd and Allegheny with MUCH BETTER food and much better pricing. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you feel like wasting money. 30 bucks on a burrito and 2 tostadas, would’ve been 12...

Great food amazing guacamole and homemade tortillas got about 3 or 4 different orders and pays about 30 bucks not bad at all. Got a surprise nacho salad which didn't come with guac so I ordered a side of it . I got those meet filled tortillas rolled up and fried forgot the name but my mom didn't put sour cream so dry but when I diped with guac it was good. Also they have spicy shredded meat I wouldn't with my nachos but she let me taste and it was great. The staff are nice we even bought Victoria secret locations for 10 bucks a PC n they're homemade lemonade is delicious 😋 my new spot ever since the mex place on b and Tioga fell off majorly I think 4 seasons mix pla e it's called. But yeas this place...
