i come here with my best friend before the Olivia Rodrigo concert because we’re starving and the aroma coming from outside lured us in. we walk in and the sign says: “Please wait to be seated” yet there’s zero host, and the copious amounts of staff behind the counter are looking confused as if they’ve never seen customers before. i will say, the restaurant was beautiful and had a nice environment; however, i can not say the same for the overall experience we both had. we’re seated and our waiter doesn’t even introduce himself. throughout our time there, he was very distracted by the women of whom he worked alongside of, as well as other women who were customers. we both ordered pasta dishes that were priced at $17 each. the portions were small, and there were no salads on the side or bread. for $17, i was extremely disappointed. the food came out and was mediocre looking, but after we both kept eating, it was giving college dining hall food. the pasta was not cooked correctly, and was giving Barilla boxed penne. when it was time to pay, we waited several minutes for him to return and take our payment. the staff seemed like making money was their only priority, when in reality they could have tried to hide it more and act like they care about the customers and the service.

Every time I passed in front of this restaurant I wanted to go in with my children who love pizzas so much and it has been my worst experience in a restaurant. The waitress Mackenzie apparently has problems with people who don't speak English and my mom doesn't speak English and asked her to wait while I returned with my children from the bathroom to ask for the order and apparently since she didn't understand what she was saying, they started bad attitudes. This is not a place for families, apparently the waitresses do not like dealing with people with children and this attitude is unacceptable. Every time we ordered something, he looked at us badly and spoke to us with attitudes because the only thing he wanted to do was talk about his personal problems with people he knew within the Restaurant. It seems absurd to me to have to pay almost $29 in tip to a person who was so hostile as a waitress. I don't like to give this type of observation but it is necessary that people who go with family know how rude they are that even the children said that she had bad attitudes. These are things that should not be happening if you are going to deal with the public . First and last time I visit this place. I do not recommend it at all, very few professionals

I went to the north philly santucci's because i had such a great experience at the south philly location i wanted to get the roasted chicken soup. I had to sit down because if i order the soup to go... it doesn't come with the little grilled cheese sandwich on the side. No clue why! Then i wait about 20 mins after being seated and no one even askes me if i want something to drink. I get up walk to the first waitress i see... find out she is also the bartender and is spread thin. Tell her i want the soup, she apologies for the wait and puts in my order. I wait about 15 more minutes, she brings the soup which is really celery and carrots and broth ( not like the south philly location) and a side of grilled cheese.... i say I'm hungry ill just eat it... but wait... there is hair on my grilles grilled cheese... no thanks. I tell the waitress/bartender, she says she will tell the cook... i want 10 mins... no new grilled cheese... she runs by and says ur meal will be free and keeps going. Ummmm the whole point of me sitting there was to enjoy the soup and sandwich together... that didn't happen... out the door i go, after drinking sum of my broth of course. Ill stick to the south philly location.

My husband and I were in Philly yesterday, up from Fort Lauderdale, to attend the Nick Cave show at the MET. We had never been to Philly, so we decided to wing it in our selection of restaurants for dinner before the show. We decided on Santucci’s.

The place was totally bustling and almost entirely filled up, but we were fortunate to get a table. Our order was the penne alla vodka with shrimp. We were told the sauce is made from scratch and it’s not sitting around, it’s made prior to each order and that it may take a few more minutes to come out. We weren’t in an immense hurry and drank our prosecco and listened to the Nick Cave music that was playing throughout the restaurant (nice touch since we were only a couple hours from showtime).

The staff was totally attentive and welcoming, and we met the owner as well who stopped by our table more than once to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Our waitress kept tabs on us in a good way, she never disappeared on us or, on the other hand, was overbearing, and even the guy clearing other tables popped over to cheerfully take a photo for us when we interrupted his work.

The food was amazing, such fresh ingredients and the sauce was fantastic. The shrimp were large, perfectly cooked, not overdone or underdone, and the whole meal couldn’t have been improved on. The garlic bread was the perfect compliment.

I have to say every interaction with the people of Philly wherever we went that day prior to Santucci’s was a good experience each time — and Santucci’s was the perfect ending and the perfect set-up to roll into Nick Cave’s amazing show! If we ever make it back up to Philly, we will definitely going back...

As regular customers of Santucci's, North Broad Street, we enjoyed the food and the service was always on point. But that has changed after it's come under new management. While at the North Broad location for dinner we ordered food, that never came. The patrons at the two tables next to us ordered their food at the same time we did, received their food and started paying their bill; we had still not received our order. We had four servers that attended to us, which is odd. After some time another server arrived and asked if we were ready for our check. I said we never received our food and requested to see the manager. The manager came over and from a distance asked what happened. I stated that we never received our food and that the service had been lacking. The manager said, "can't you see that we are busy". I could not believe he made such a statement but he did. The patrons next to us told the manager that they had arrived after us, received their food and were ready to pay. I asked for the check minus the cost of the food. As we waited for the check, I saw our first server printing one out. The check was for the patrons two tables over and they had arrived long after us and the people sitting next to us.

I do not blame the staff. Management is responsible and to blame, as well as the owners. The servers were all over place, obviously not assigned to specific tables as they tended to customers throughout the entire sitting area and the bar area.

The establishment was very busy that evening. The line of people waiting was out the door, blocking the exit and creating a safety hazard. We had to work our way through the crowd to exit.

We will not...
