Silk Road Uzbek Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I usually don’t write long reviews, but this time I feel like I have to. My experience at this restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. From the start, the service was painfully slow. We waited far too long to be seated, then even longer just to get our drinks. It felt like everything was moving in slow motion, and it made the entire evening frustrating and unpleasant.

What made it worse—and honestly, what shocked me the most—was the attitude of the waiter who served us. I have a picture of him because his behavior was so unprofessional, it needs to be addressed. He clearly showed a personal attitude toward me, and I believe it was because I am Uzbek and he is Tajik. There was no other explanation for the way he treated me compared to how he treated other tables. He was rude, dismissive, and clearly delaying my order on purpose. My food took forever to arrive, and I could see that others who ordered after me were being served first.

When I tried to politely ask about my meal, he barely responded and acted like I was bothering him. It felt like I was being disrespected not just as a customer, but on a personal and cultural level. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any restaurant, anywhere.

The food, when it finally came, was lukewarm and didn’t even taste fresh. It was clear it had been sitting around, probably on purpose. By that point, I had lost my appetite. Even getting the bill took forever. I left the restaurant feeling not only disappointed, but honestly humiliated.

I’m writing this not out of anger, but because I truly believe people should be aware of the kind of discrimination and unprofessionalism that is happening here. No one deserves to be treated like this because of where they’re from. Dining out should be a pleasant experience—not one that leaves you feeling ignored, insulted, and deeply...

This place was highly recommended to me Because of good quality Delicious food. My first takeout visit was pretty good. I will say some of the meat was a bit too salty for my taste, but for the most part, it was good. Second time. I found the meat to be a little bit tough but still had great seasoning and taste., My third and last time was absolutely appalling and Disgusting!!!! unfortunately I did not check the container when I picked it up . when I got home I have discovered that 40% of my order has been eaten and bones with just a tiny bit of meat that was left on them were thrown back into the container with the rest of my order ! I am appalled! Not only is it disgusting it’s also very unsanitary! After I mentioned this to the person that recommended this place, I was told that, unfortunately, as they were really good when they first opened, their quality of service has gone downhill, and I was not the only person to complain about it! Service level is below ZERO. Bunch of idiots in the service. They do not have any restaurant experience. When we got into the restaurant, we waited for over 15 mins to be seated. Waiters pass by and ignoring. Nobody welcomes when you enter the restaurant. You can’t name this place as a restaurant, probably some sort of quick bite place where they do not care about the customer service. The host was so rude, was speaking in a weird language, definitely not English, kept talking on the phone with somebody and having very fun conversation instead of seating the customer.
