Silvia's Bakery — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I Am very disappointed with Silvia’s bakery on North 2nd st Philadelphia On August 27 my daughter’s brought Me a two tier cake it was a very simple cake to make. it was a white cake with strawberry filling that was it. this cake was a big disappointment the cake was decorated sloppy the frosting was very hard and chipping like old paint the cake in the middle was very very dry and the filling was like if they tock the filling out a jar I’m very upset because it’s an embarrassment to see everyone spit the cake out and throw it in the trash this hurt me because I was the one that sent my daughters to get my cake from there I like there moist cake but I wanted something different for my graduation I can’t believe they charge them $152 dollars for this cake it wasn’t worth it At All! I would of tock the cake back and got there money but it was 12 at night on Saturday & Sunday they are closed I was so frustrated & mad that I tock the cake and throw it in the trash I called them and complain but I guess because I didn’t physically have the cake on Monday they didn’t ask to give me the money back I would of like for them to give them back there money but for me it’s about the cake and the full on embarrassment I want though with this cake and because of this WE WILL NOT ANYMORE...

So I just went a few minutes ago and I bought two sodas and a cup of ice for two sodas it’s like $3.45 not a problem because I should be drinking soda earlier. I bought two sodas and a cup of ice but now when I asked for a cup of ice, a small cup of ice, they wanna charge me a dollar it’s not the money. It’s the principal so when I look back, I said you guys to charge a dollar for a cup of ice they was like yes I said it’s on the menu and she was yes I said can I see it And then she comes back and says well it’s not on the menu but that’s what we usually do for one cup of ice. I will never go to this place again they know I make a lot of money because I shared it but that’s unprofessional. It’s really hot in there but it’s a bakery so that’s understandable. It’s not a good place to sit and eat. The food is average but the prices are not great. I just don’t like when people try to get over a dollar for a small cup of ice that’s crazy that you mention it two sold was almost 4 dollars two can...

I got a tres leches cake from here. Very dissatisfied and disappointed because of the fact that it was very dry. I was given false information because when I picked up the cake I had asked and made sure with them that the cake was prepared with the tres leche in the cake. She confirmed with me and said yes and when I asked her why I was given a whole jug of tres leche she said it was just extra because customers like receiving these. I took that response and ran with it. When the cake was eaten that evening for a birthday party, I was left unsatisfied because it was the complete opposite of what I was told in store. I was even more upset because on besides leaving with the cake I ordered, I left with slices of the tres leche cake as well… TWO COMPLETE DIFFERENT FLAVORS. All I can say is that it was good while it lasted. Ever since they moved into their new location the cakes/pastries are just not the same anymore. It is very unfortunate but it will be the last time...
