I just ordered from the Tasties location on Germantown Ave this evening. I have to say I was disappointed. I've ordered from them in the past the last time being in Sept or Oct of 2016. The food at that time was spectacular. This evening it was sorely the complete opposite. For starters I had to call 6 times before someone answered the phone (1st RED FLAG ). Then when someone did answer I was put on "hold" for 5 minutes while the woman finished dealing with the customers in the store. When she came back to the phone she was a bit unprofessional. Either way I continued through with the order because I knew how good the food was and I really had a taste for it. I ordered fried whiting platter w yams and mac and cheese and chicken platter w mac and cheese and greens, had the food delivered. Total came out to $30. I said whatever I'll pay that because I was unable to pick up due to my car being down. The food was delivered without any problems and in a timely manner. The food was not hot and not good. The greens were SALTY AF, the fish was thumbs down and the chicken taste just like Crown's Fried Chicken. SMH Complete disappointment. I'm guessing they may have gotten a new cook between now and the last time I visited because the mac and cheese and the greens were not made the same from the last time. Read moreTerrible customer service and cold food. First, the gentleman who answered the phone has no business being responsible for speaking to customers. I called and asked what kind of seafood do they serve and his response was “We have fish.” That’s it? Really? “We have fish?” When I pressed him a bit further, what kind of fish? Whiting? It it fried? Do you not serve any salmon or shrimp Alfredo? I guess that was too many questions for him, because he only answered “yes” to the “shrimp pasta.” When a customer calls your business that is the first point of contact, and it should be a pleasant, pain free experience. I was hoping he could make suggestions or tell me what popular seafood items they had, but he sounded like I was inconveniencing him by asking questions. I was told the wait would be 20-30 min (I arrived in 25 min), but it took an hour before my food was ready. When I did receive it, the food was cold. This is not a club. #2 which really should have been number #1, the music. The DJ is extremely too loud, we lost our voices screaming trying to talk to each other over the table. I couldn’t even hear my friend talking next to me. Like cut it down, it should not be that loud. And then they put you directly next to the DJ if you don’t say anything. No. #3 the menu should be the same on sundays as it is throughout the week because everything don’t even be available. So if you see the menu before you get there, don’t even get hype because they may not have pancakes that day. The shrimp and grits were extremely too salty. I had to get a different order.
