Temple Star Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I’m in Philly. The concert was over and I wanted some Chinese before I left. Taking a moment to search the area, I stumbled across Temple Star. As Temple Star was super close, I decided to walk.

Walking up to Temple Star, it was exactly what I wanted. The hood spot that was open late and had the combo plate specials. Oh yeah!

I went in, placed my order and waited for my food to be finished. The service and level of cleanliness was exactly as I had anticipated so there’s nothing to talk about. LoL!!

Once my food was ready, she called my order, I headed to the window, got it and I was out.

The food smelled amazing through the bag and I was ready to eattttttttttttt.

I got to my hotel, opened my food and took my first bite and babeeeeeee… OVER IT!!!! Keep It… I’m all set.

Everything was over greasy. I knew it would be greasy but this was all over greasy. The flavor profile of everything was bland, and my boneless spare ribs were very soft. No thanks.

Temple Star isn’t on my comeback list, however… it’s open late if...

UPDATE: I tried this place one more time. Figured why not - everyone deserves another chance. WRONG! My online order came to $20. The delivery driver showed me a receipt for $23. I showed him my online receipt and that I was not giving him an additional $3. He practically threw the food at me and started cursing me out and degrading me! I called the restaurant immediately. They apologized on their driver's behalf and offered some discounts. No thank you, Temple Star. You deserve to be out of business at this point.

Your typical Chinese-American food. Not horrible. Beware of placing an online order for delivery though. You pay one price but then the delivery driver calls and tells you it's an additional few dollars. Not sure what the deal with that is. Seems like it's his way of getting tip money. It's happened 3x now and we'll no longer be ordering from here...

If I could give a lower score I would went there last night ordered a white chicken general tsos combo with shrimp fried rice which I was charged extra for only to get home and find dark meat and pork fried rice and an ice cold uncooked egg roll when I went back to have them correct the order I watched them make dark chicken again then tell the girl that they don't have white meat then try to be me and tell me dark meat and white meat are same price when I informed them I don't eat pork and I paid extra for white meat she said I make white meat tomorrow you take platter now i said no that'd not what I order she throws the food put and hand me 10 dollars which was not the full refund horrible service...
