Phenomenal. We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this hole in the wall of a restaurant while walking around, and I’m so glad that we stopped here for dinner! This place is a gem.
Let me start by saying that this is not a fancy spot at all. You have to order at a counter, there’s limited seating, and I don’t even think they have a bathroom (although they do have a sink in the dining area for you to wash your hands, which I appreciated). I felt like I was walking into a grandma’s dining room — it felt special.
The menu was extensive, and they also had specials. Everything was beyond affordable AND delicious. $28 got us the most giant (beef) banh mi I’ve ever seen, and the biggest portion of drunken noodle. I had to take some home, and I have quite the appetite!
The banh mi was delicious. The bread was crunchy, and it was huge. You definitely get your money’s worth and then some! The veggie drunken noodles came with a heaping amount of tofu, but it lacked some flavor — still, a solid and delicious meal.

Read moreWe were in the area since my daughter goes to Temple, so we grabbed a quick dinner here. The food was very good - tasted fresh & flavorful. They have the sirachai, fish sauce, soy sauce, hoisin, etc... on the counters, so you can flavor your food to your taste. The food is prepared quickly, and served up on trays. My daughter had their veggie pad thai (which she loved) and I went with one of the grilled chicken vermicelli dishes. They were definitely busy, and the prices are very reasonable. For 1-2 people, it works to eat there, but for a larger group, it would not work well. Primarily a take out place. But very good food so it's on my list of good options when it's...
Read moreProbably the best restaurant in North Philly. I’ve had a dinner here after trying some Vietnamese food in Center city named number 1 in Asian foods according to a blog on Google. I can assure you that this blogger has never tasted a Pho at Yummy Pho. The food in here is surreal in my opinion. The Pho (noodles) are offered in a huge bowl with lots of strong spices. I’ve tried a different combination of meats on top of them and all of them are excellent. My personal favorite dish is the House Pho. The food portions are very big and relatively very cheap. I’ve found it hard to find a healthy and tasty restaurant in North Philly but this one was out of my...
