This is a coffee shop I find so close to reaching the top of the podium, the gold standard of cafĂŠ which I raise above the rest, yet at the same time, so far. I ordered a black single origin Colombian and a decaf cappuccino. The wait was maybe 3 minutes or under, which was nice. The drip was easily my favorite part of the whole experience, delicious in every way. Very clear flavor, very oily, with a strong body. 10/10, a must try if youâre in the area. The cappuccino was, by my definition, just a latte. Now I have nothing against lattes, and to be honest, it was a good latte, but a milk drink in a latte cup with only a thin line of foam, calling it a cappuccino seems a bit misleading (for the record, I tend to think of a cappuccino as a ratio of coffee to milk to foam, rather than a size). The decor was fine â not the highlight for me, but it did feel a bit like a large space with the style of a small one. I did like the way the menus were presented, and the little touches like that, but I still would have liked to see more things going on. What I would suggest is a rustic style of coffee posters/ paintings as an inexpensive way to fill space. The seating was nice and comfy, with spaces for working and for just drinking. Overall, a solid coffee spot which is great for a drink, but not the coziest atmosphere.

Ordered the liege waffle with poached eggs, bacon, and cheese. It was delicious-my egg was perfectly poached. Quality ingredients, so much more than I've come to expect when eating out, and the waffle was not overly sweet. Maple drizzle around it for the sweet tooth. Commuters, professionals, and students came and went. Some stayed to study or chat, others were quickly on their way. It was a very easy 13 minute walk from Penn on spruce Street, for anyone who has to wait a few hours while a family member sees...
