Why, why, why? Someone explain to me why it always seems that the urban locations for fast food can't seem to do things correctly. My son and I went in for Lunch last Saturday. Besides waiting 10 minutes IN STORE for someone to take our order, the floors leading up to the counter (and through the restaurant for that matter) were like skating on ice, they were so wet. Not a warning sign in sight. Once we placed our order, the service was kind enough, but my food was not prepared as I had asked it causing me to have to get up from my seat and avoid suing the place over a slip and fall accident, to correct it. The decor is nice enough, but the condiment counter was filthy, one of the two soda machines had NO Coke or Sprite options at all, and there were cleaning supplies left on seats, and tables with trash-filled trays sitting there, unattended to. The manager was walking around training someone, oblivious to the condition of his own store. Don't get me started on the cleaning staff. They were doing the absolute least and seemed to not want to be there. During our dining time, another employee, who also seemed beyond thrilled to be there, came in, sat down at a booth and laid her head on the wall to take a nap before her shift. Then you wonder why people prefer to go to the suburbs when craving fast food than in the city. It's not a lot to ask to have pride in your place of business, and to give a damn about the customer experience, but this Wendy's seemingly did not get the memo. I'm done personally. Much rather go to Montgomery County for my...
Read moreIt was a very sad experience. I just flew in tonight and was looking for somewhere to eat. Other places were closed. I decided to go to Wendy's. I like the hamburgers at Wendy's as well as their frosties. My Uber driver pulled up to the ordering device and rolled down my window. I spoke to the person in the speaker and inform them that I was unable to answer the question because I cannot hear them well enough to know what they were saying. So another voice got on the speaker and reiterated what they asked. I told him I wanted a number one with only lettuce and tomato and a large frosty. I ended up getting a number one with everything including cheese and pickle which I did not want. A small frosty. And no spoon or straw for the frosty. And the fries were a small. The store was not busy so I cannot say it is because there were a lot of things happening. We were the only people in line.
Needless to say I was unable to eat my sandwich because I do not eat sandwiches with cheese on it nor pickle. And because I had an Uber driver I was not going to pay another $60 to go back to the location to get...
Read moreI've never had a reason to say the following until today; do not go to this Wendy's if you are white. I waited patiently for about 25 minutes as a family was being helped by what appeared to be an overworked employee. Eventually, a line began to form. A young man stood behind me in line for a moment before scouting up beside and then tried to get just ahead of me. The mother of the family ahead of me, now seated, alerted the 2 to 3 employee drifting aimlessly behind the register area that I had been waiting for a while to be helped. They looked past me with a blank stare. A young woman approached me from behind and asked if I had ordered. I replied thay I was still waiting. She immediately cut the line straight to the counter where one of the aimlessly wandering employee's, a young male, immediately began asking her for her order.
At that point I just left. It doesn't bother me to be the only white person in any establishment. I simply understood the culture of this Wendy's...
