I guess they're on a budget and can't afford to run the heat in winter? It was very cold inside.
I'll admit, there's not much appeal in the "showmanship" of watching someone cook my food. I do like that I can see how it's cooked and how quickly it's served after it's cooked, but I don't think I should pay a premium for babysitting a cook.
That said, the prices are pretty standard. However, that calls attention to my biggest frustration with this restaurant. They claim 50% off their sushi every day. It's not, it's so incredibly disingenuous, and insulting . If you're content to feed me bull$&!#, might as well skyjack your menu even more and say 90% off every day. No one has ever charged me double your "sale price" for a Philly Roll. Not ever. In fact, very few have ever charged me that much for a premium signature roll.
And these rolls aren't premium. My fried Godzilla roll tasted like someone had accidentally fried a paper towel after it dropped in dirty dishwater. Not sure what happened there, my other rolls didn't wow me, but they at least tasted good.
Ordering hibachi at a regular table was a mistake. Steak was cold, and scallops tasted off. I was sure I was gonna get sick, and surprised I didn't. The rice is bland. My friend got noodles after rice the last time, hoping to avoid that, but they were bland, too.

But today was the last day this establishment will ever get any business from me . I called and order for a pick up, ( sushi rolls) got out of a long day at work ,pick up the order,get home not what I ordered. Go back tell the women at front desk ( manager) it not what I ordered. She tells me that's your problem , she cannot do anything about it ,never offer to make the right order, just not her problem. I ask to speak to someone , she tells me owner not available, she is the decision maker ,I ask for money back ,she tells me no . So they wanted to keep the money and,not replace my order for the one I wanted ,then then when they finally realized I wasn't leaving with out a refund. She called me cheap. Cheap, I never disrespected her ,just wanted a refund. This establishment kept trying to belittle me . Read moreThis used to be my favorite sushi place until yesterday. I ordered my favorite sushi for my birthday and as soon as I’ve put it in my mouth I felt something sharp going into my gums. It was a staple! I went back to the place and asked for a manager and she told the cooks to remake it. She kept trying to say that it was not possible for that to happen and that it’s probably got there when I was opening a paper bag. However, there was a lid on top of the sushi so the staple couldn’t have fallen into it. Also the staple was INSIDE of the sushi because I would notice it if it was on top of it and obviously wouldn’t put it in my mouth. Therefore, I said that I don’t want anymore sushi and that I want a refund. My sister was also trying to say that what if I swallowed it or her toddler did, but the manager literally SHUSHED her in the middle of her talk. We didn’t get an apology and she refunded only that part of our order. The service was awful and my birthday was ruined for the rest of the night and my mouth too!!! P. S.
