Very disappointed in the terrible rude service in Philomath!!! I took my Grand daughter to eat lunch, I havnt been inside a McDonald's in awhile and wasn't used to they're new pre-order board. After ordering I took the receipt up to the counter to pay and told the female cashier/attendant that I wasn't sure if I paid the cash up at the counter. She said "Yes!!!I" "It says it right on your receipt !!" I apologized for not even looking at the receipt becsuse I was busy with my grand daughter and her excitement. My grand daughter asked the attendant if she could please have the girl toy in her happy meal (which was Princess Leia) and the attendant said very rudely they don't go through the toys and get what the kids want. Basically she gets what she gets. Which I totally understand, but she could have been polite about it. She was also bothered that I was paying with a $100. Dollar bill. I apologized for that too. But it was all I had! After we got our food, my grand daughter had ordered a chocolate milk, they had given us a regular milk instead. I didn't know until she opened it (because she's 5 and had it in her hands and opened before i sat down). So then I had to go buy a chocolate milk. Then she didn't get a toy either in her happy meal. So I went back up to the counter AGAIN and told the same girl attendant, that now we are missing a toy. "We did not get a toy in the happy meal"! She aaked me if I was sure?, then just acted like I asked her to do the impossible! She literally had to walk a whole 2 feet over to a bin to get a toy. Just very rude the whole time. I know places are going to make mistakes, I work in the food industry so I get it, but the customer service was ridiculous!! I will not be back! Im very big on customer service. We all have bad days, but when you are the one making the mistakes and you are in customer service you need to be a little...
Read moreI had to call the Philomath McDonald's this morning at 9:44am to have them help me figure out what the heck is going on with the shady practices happening at the McDonald's here in Newport. Rachel one of the managers listen to everything I had to say and understood my frustration. She took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and with an amazing attitude! ( this wasn't even her problem... different McDonald's) She was so incredibly professional and polite! How you handle your customers means a lot especially in the world of reviews. My friend travels and this is his favorite McDonald's for food and service. I've been in management with most every job in my life including food service and good workplace morale is EVERYTHING! Exceptional service and management skills like this should not go unnoticed it increases performance productivity and sales. Thank you Rachel, you handled me incredibly well. Read moreMy family and friends went to this McDonald's the drive threw person who handed us the food thin with pony tail and hat ..black pants had poor customer service and attitude sucked. Had ordered large coffee and at the drive threw we requested a certain amount and gave us 2 sugars and no creamer...reqwested the amount again, sugar and creamer in a small bag. . They don't take seriously. There going to end up spreading covid or ending up with covid. Not using containers to hand out food or change. only gave one of us one drink out of the three. We had to ask were the other sprite berry drinks were. Looked like he didn't like his job, treated us bad and didn't know how to greet customers. We spoke to manager about getting our drinks and food. The manager and boy asked us if we got our food and drinks after already saying no we didn't. This mc. Donald's needs to get it together.
