My friends and I visited Alexi’s Grill & Catering during AZ Restaurant Week, and we were thoroughly impressed! The location offers plenty of free parking, making it super convenient. The first course had three choices, one of which was meatballs. To my surprise, they were two nice-sized meatballs served on a bed of penne, and all four of us shared this dish. We also tried the bruschetta, which was delicious with goat cheese and fig, and the Caprese bites, always refreshing. We all had salads, and they were full-size, not just a side portion. For entrees, I went with the seafood crepes—two large crepes, but I could only finish one, so I got to take the other home. My friend had the pork chop, which was the hit of the table, perfectly cooked with a nice crusty top. Another friend had the scallops, five large ones, cooked to perfection. For dessert, the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake was truly out of this world. The bright lemony flavor combined with white chocolate made it the best dessert ever! We always try new places during AZ Restaurant Week, and this was one of the best! Make reservations now, as the special ends on Sunday, September 29th. You’ll be glad you did!

Went out for a dinner with friends on a Friday night. Place only had about maybe three other tables when we got there at 6:30. Never the best sign., but hey it’ll be fine. They have a nice seating area outside, although the water feature they have installed is so loud you might have to speak quite loudly if you converse. Got the Melanzane Alexi, a grilled eggplant appetizer. Was painful to look at, and didn’t really have any flavor do to being wet and not having much seasoning. Each of us had a salad with the mustard vinaigrette and there was so much dressing you couldn’t taste anything else. Had the New York steak for my main and it was cooked well beyond the medium I had ordered. I’m pretty forgiving on temp, except in cases like this when it’s pretty dry. The potatoes and broken had no seasoning, although the he carrots were “caramelized” in some sweet syrup. The rest of the party shared the limoncello cake, with no complaints. The service was pretty good, just a little hard as the server wasn’t quite sure what dishes might be gluten and dairy-free. Wish they had some kind of makeshift menu for allergens, but she definitely tried to be helpful.

If I rate them on their plant based options I would give them a 0. I was here with a group and I was only given one option. I didnt bother to take a pic like I normally would when I dine out. I came with a group. I was given a quinoa salad thing. I dig veggies dont get me wrong but I would have never chosen to eat that. Italian food is so easy to make vegan! Please tell me why you cant provide bread that is vegan! Please tell me what is so hard about getting a vegan dressing? Why cant you make a vegan marinara and noodles? I'm baffled by this. The only reason I'm giving them a 3 is because the waiter was cool and did his best to accommodate me. I was the only vegan of the group. But I didnt hear anyone making comments about any of the food to make this place stand out. I'm super glad I didnt have to pay, as it was paid for by the group I was there. I would choose to go to Pizza Heaven Bistro any day. I would actually even choose Olive Garden over them. Just to let Alexis grill know, I'm going to drop photos of what plant based can look like, so maybe you all will get with the program. Pictures are from Pizza Heaven Bistro, not Alexi's.

First impressions are lasting impressions!

I went to Alexi's Grill for lunch & since it was cold outside, I requested to sit by the window to get some sunshine; however, the hostess rudely said that those tables were for parties of 3 or more. I noted that restaurant was empty to which she snidely replied "it may fill up at any time, you never know" - wow! Yet less than 15 minutes later, she seated a party of 2 at the same table I requested. I didn't say anything about it because I knew from the hostess' arrogant attitude that I wouldn't be coming back.

In regard to Alexi's food - the soup was a flat, boring vegetable soup. The chicken was way too salty and the vegetables were overcooked. Didn't bother to eat the rice. Arrogance is never acceptable but if you are going to be arrogant, at least your food better be James Beard Award or Michelin star quality - the food at Alexi's is average at best, to below average.

In conclusion, I won't be back - which is too bad considering I live close by & love to support local businesses. Alexi's has been open for a while, according to their website, and because they are feel "established", it's apparent that they think they're untouchable AND no longer feel a need to be responsive to customers - which are classic symptoms of the "Success Syndrome", as defined by Dan Scoggin, former president of TGI Friday’s, who explains how businesses like Sears, etc. also thought (like Alexi's) that they were "too established" to fail - until what, they failed! Alexi's isn't exactly packed so they better get an attitude adjustment really quick or they will soon find themselves out of business due to arrogance bred by the...

First time at this restaurant with last night reservations, and the LAST time I’ll ever waste dining at this 1 star ⭐️ restaurant. As a manager/ bartender my rating is: — Staff 1/5 Service 0/5 Atmosphere 2/ 5 Food 1/5 The hostess was very rude, dismissive, and disrespectful, upon arrival. He made a very snide comment when we showed up, but that was the least of our issues based off our interaction of the night. When we got sat we were escorted to the back of the restaurant where our choices were either : the corner table, or the dirty table. Our server was rude, and extremely forgetful-she asked what our order was twice through out the night, and we were the last to be served. Other people were sat after us -just next to us -and were served their dinner before us. The host came to sit with the people who were served before us and received better treatment. I’ve had better rack of lamb served in doors. I have been to many steak houses through out the valley and outside of state- that being said— the file mignon has never been that large in size portion, it had no flavor at all!! The lamb was horrible almost raw consistency. The meal states it was served with potatoes and neither of the dishes were presented with potatoes. We unfortunately got treated horribly and that is why I decided to share my experience. Your server was under the influence and...
