Senor Taco Express Central Phoenix — Restaurant in Phoenix

The food was good and the service was fast. Long story short it’s a good restaurant and I like what I got aside from a minor dispute with the manager.

I ordered a number 2 carne asada burrito at the drive thru. The interaction went with me asking what the daily specials were, being told “numbers 1-7”. And me replying something to the effect of “I’ll have a number 2” From my reading, the item said “14.49, carne asada burrito w 2 rolled tacos w guacamole and cheese”. He began reading my total “your total is 12 dollars and [x amount of cents]” which was odd to me that menu price was more expensive than I was charged but I was happy to save some money: perhaps the menu was outdated.

At the drive thru I was given only a burrito, we waited a minute or so to ask where the other items were and a man who was presumably the manager, says, “I’ll hand you a copy of the menu, the daily specials are 1-7, it only comes with a burrito, you’re gonna love it buddy” before closing the window with a level of certainty that made me feel that the problem was resolved, seeing as I’ve never at at their establishment to know what the specials are like (these are the cliff’s notes, the actual discussion was only slightly longer, maybe about 30-45 seconds, the manager seemed to be getting annoyed)

Anyway I’ll cut to the chase… As you can see the menu says that you get 2 rolled tacos with the burrito, I’m not angry about it because the gentleman clearly accidentally charged me for the carne asade individual item, which would come out to about 12 dollars after tax.

I won’t be overly negative since my experience was overall a good one, but this exchange here is the only reason I have a sour taste in my mouth.

Once again, the food was good and it’s clear that the manager cares about his restaurant which is why I leave an overall positive review, I understand mistakes happen, maybe he was having a bad day; this is just my way of following up.

But the menu does, in fact, say that the #2 special comes with 2 rolled tacos, guacamole, and cheese.

I’m sure on any other day you would get impeccable service, I sense that from the passion the manager used to address the issue he must know the menu like the back of his hand. Even if you’re excellent at your job mistakes happen, but in this case, a mistake happened.

Lastly, if you get the chance, I do recommend you try the carne asada burrito. It’s a good little burrito but can get a little messy at the last couple bites if you go heavy on the...

This is the freshest food that I have ever had from a drive thru!!! They will make your order straight from start to finish as you wait. It takes a couple extra minutes, but it is worth the wait! My food is always hot from when I get home until my last bite. The hash brown breakfast burrito is the most delicious burrito, I have ever had with all the flavors! The egg is fluffy, the bacon is crispy, the hash brown is a perfect crisp yet soft, and the sausage link has the best flavor, not greasy! Highly recommend trying it! Don’t even get me started on the birria tacos…O M G! UNREAL! It’s insane how delicious and satisfying these tacos are from the perfect presentation to the consomé that tastes just like it came off grandma’s stovetop, ABSOLUTELY the best in Phoenix!
