Angelo's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Phoenix

After $120+ spent with a crew that taste tested this restaurant. The manager and staff either were having a bad day or that is their customer service normal. It seemed slow inside but the way I seen them treat children approaching their counter, to how they did not greet paying customers with anything but irritations. The feeling of being unwanted at their counter was an understatement. I witnessed a couple people on how they were to them as well. Especially children there to enjoy family time and have fun at the gaming section. Just approaching the counter, they were noticed but ignored. Bouncing and excited to make memories but it fizzled fast. Not being my children, I still got up and started to approach the counter to mention it but a young lady stepped in and took care of them. I addressed the young lady that stepped up to take our order. She was pleasant and told us she would need to refresh the salad bar if we wouldn't mind giving her a minute. The salad bar was amazing and they have an amazing Bleu Cheese. The food: The breaded chicken had zero seasoning. The breading was crispy because of the fry but no seasoning to the chicken before the breading or within the breading. The thigh was very dry, telling me that trying a breast piece would not be worth the taste test. The "broasted chip" were cooked correctly. No seasoning but it was to be expected. The "Angelo's combo" was delicious. The crust was cooked way too long where if you have loose teeth or dentures beware. I was surprised there was zero top cheese to lock down the toppings from falling off everywhere and being wasted all over the floor. The "White Knight" was delicious but still that crust again...oven baked doesn't mean cook it longer. Would not recommend asking for extra crispy for those that enjoy that.

I approached the counter and asked for Ranch to go alongside the pizza. Even after spending almost $130 on pizza, chicken & chips, sodas to go around and salad bar bowls. They still wanted .25 Cents per ranch cup saying the 6 that came with a large chicken and chips was enough for all the adults to share on the pizza as well. But hey soda to syrup ratio was on point. Not much of a soda drinker myself but the taste test was successful on that.

Abbys Legendary Pizza is the choice to go with if ever you want a pizza night out with the family. About the same high price but the comparison, all around quality, seasoning their food and customer service knocks this resturant out of the competition. I'll continue letting you all know where the best places are to spend the money you have worked hard...

The wings are five stars all the way. The pizza, however, was inedible. We would have returned it, but we received our delivery when they were closing. The pizza crust was atrocious; there was sauce, but it was baked into the crust so the pizza was dry. The texture of the cheese was the equivalent of six sugar sheets used to cover wedding cakes. It was presented to us as if someone took a sheet of plastic cheese and set it on top of the crust. The next day (because we believed for some reason it would be better), the cheese snapped like a wet, stale cracker, and on Angelo's Pizza's behalf we asked the god of pizza for forgiveness.

We considered that being from New York and Chicago our pizza standards were a little too high for Southern Oregon, but there are pizza restaurants here that are surpassing some Chicago and NY parlors. S.O., you definitely have good pizza options, but this just isn't one of them.

I would like to believe that we were the only ones in the history of this restaurant who had this experience. Maybe it tastes better when you sit in. We respect everyone who completed a review and I'm happy they have had great dining experiences.

Moral: Always order wings from Angelo's and pizza from... well,...

I have been a customer of Angelo's pizza for my whole life. The majority of my experiences have been enjoyful. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered pizza for my crew at the Arbor house, there was something off or sour, the pizza was not up to par. I called them back to pick up the majority pizzas and refund my money. I called tonight to order again (because no one is perfect and I'm aware how the restaurant businesscan be) and they refused to deliver to us. As a restaurant owner myself I understand the frustration, yet my lifetime of being a loyal customer means nothing to them or the amount of money I have/would continue to spend with their business. It's unfortunate that their customer service skills are so poor. This experience leaves an even worst taste in my mouth then the last...
