Bagel Gourmet Restaurant & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Phoenix

Found this little gem through Door Dash yesterday and I was through their door shortly after they opened this morning! The place was incredibly clean and I was warmly welcomed by the young lady behind the counter - who was also most helpful. This is also a family-owned local business, which makes it even MORE appealing in my opinion! Not all bagel flavors were on display yet, so she told me which ones were on their way! Many that I choose were fresh out of the oven and very warm, she packaged them specifically with this in mind and informed me of the reason. She also included a plastic bag for use after the bagels had cooled! I asked if they import their water from NYC (as I've heard the water in NYC is what makes their bagels so unique - and these were as good as any NY bagel I've eaten). A gentleman from the back told me that they use purified water. He obviously knows what he's talking about because he ran down a list of stuff and their levels that's in Phoenix tap water not exactly ideal! I once again expressed my appreciation for the time and effort put into offering such a delicious product and at a very reasonable price! I look forward to trying other varieties in the (near)...

I just placed a door dash order here for 2 everything bagels with Butter and a frappe the bagels themselves although fresh had barely any butter on either Bagel upon calling them to make them aware of the situation they were unwilling to rectify the situation they told me that the butter was absorbed during delivery instead passing the buck to door dash saying I would hafto contact them for a credit. This was a preparation issue not a delivery issue I waa in food service for 20 yrs so I know when food is ill prepared. This waa a blatant blow off. He didn't even check my delivery or my name. I recommend this type of customer service be addressed immediately. This will be my first and last time ordering from Bagel Gourmet!!!

Update: after a secondary discussion with the owner I was refunded I sincerely appreciate the owner making the effort to reach out and correct this. Thank you...

Went in for a bagel and cream cheese and an orange juice something extremely simple, I waited ten minutes for my order as I was seeing people come and go with their orders and still my order was not ready so I asked the lady there and her response was they are working on it ok fine I understand, 10 more minutes go by still not ready so I asked again to the two young kids if they could check on my order and was told that it was still not ready ok I was getting a lil worried because at this point everyone that came after me had already left with their orders, I had five minutes to get back to wrk so I decided to cancel my order and the girl there had a nasty attitude when I asked her to cancel so another nice guy came and canceled it it was very obvious they didn’t care so from now on I will be taking my business...
