Howard Johnson Phoenix North — Hotel in Phoenix

This place is a circus with monkeys behind the counter!! I had to stay there three nights and one of the nights I had two rooms. The first night it took over an hour to check me in because the staff was trying to fix other people's reservations. The next morning I tried to reserve two rooms for that night and was told they had enough rooms and to wait until I showed up. Well that night about eight I showed up with my grandmother and two aunts (we were here because my uncle got a kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic) and they were totally booked up. It took over two hours to get checked in because they were running the credit cards from all that night's reservations to see if two would be declined so we could have their rooms. We got one room in about an hour and a half and then my aunt and I had to hangout in the parking lot hoping for our room. After we got in our room we discovered the toilet wasn't working so we waited another hour or more until they eventually used a snake to clear the line. Last night after we got our room I found out we needed to stay one more night. I immediately called the front desk and tried to extend my room one more night. I was told I would have to wait until the morning and when I check out they'll then check me back in AND that it would be the same rate. Well tonight it still took over an hour and ended up paying over double for the same room as last night. They have no clue as to what the heck is going on or how they are supposed to do it! They can't even say if that particular room will have a microwave or even a coffee pot. And their breakfast is exactly like an earlier review; raisin bran or cornflakes...

Oh my. Right off on the phone he quoted us a 49$ rate and then my husband told me we charged 70 $. Well just a step into the room and the stench of dirty dog and it,s waste he,d did on the floor. Along with this musty old human Hasn't,t bathed in longgg time moldy skin my nose is still self cleaning. No we called mass hotels in our price range and North Phx was full for some reason so we stayed Then right as we pull a young girl 16 to 19 walked thru, over & over. I put aa shoe of.my husbands on window sill to prop a opening so we could check on truck. The girls not alone. So sad young guys walking these young girls to sale. But they were like vultures. Didn,t sleep.kept peeking out window. Up packed & gone before dawn could be called daylight. We will not ever even cocider the Howard Johnson N Phx again. Now for some good hiking & rocking before we head north to our cold and frozen home. Oh and did not even d dying up the filthy tub So glad I keep a bottle of cleaner in truck, no plug for tub, 1 wash cloth Only 1 side of bed got a night stand. The frig was fuzzy. And get this they had to look at room with husband to get our 50 $ deposit back...

please disregard the star if I could give them minus five stars I would. Apparently giving you notice at 7 minutes after that we were leaving was enough to keep the $40 deposit. When I mentioned being able to be a few min. Late in the past IMIYERA threatened to call the police !never ever having lost a deposit in my life and staying at many many hotels and never threatened with the police the treatment here at THE BELL HOTEL FORMERLY P HOWARD JOHNSON'S.. Iwill never say this hotel again and I recommend you do not either )=it's dirty! AND UNSAFE! I WISH could post a picture of the door! all you have to do is push it open! THE PLATE Held IN BARELY BY 1 SCREW doesn't really lock and the staff!!.. . Rebecca a very pleasant woman has my sympathy because she has the only personality and welcoming smile I I saw there. Om the way out, And mind you. never a raised voice or derogatory statement to the staff 2 officers passed me so apparently a call to let the staff know that we are checking out 10 min tops late warrants not only rude treatment and monitoryi, loss but a possible trip to the local jail .
