My 75 year old grandmother whose a diabetic with kidney and heart complications was kicked out of this place this past Saturday for not registering her service dog in time or not getting rid of the dog in their "timespan"of 2 days.
She was given 1* warning on Thursday, July 23rd and I got a voicemail from her Saturday at 11 am saying they won't accept payment and that they needed her out by 12:30. My uncle was supposed to take the dog with him Friday night although never did and I didn't find out about any of this until my grandma called me Saturday morning. This entire time my Grandma was under the belief that she was okay because other dogs were there and she had proof that her dog was a certified service animal. I rushed over there and had my grandma call the clinic that holds documented proof that it's a service dog and had it emailed to me.
As soon as I arrive I asked the front desk lady Caitlin if service animals are accepted and requested a Manager. She asked me if I was here for my Grandma and I said yes. Immediately she says, "She's got 1 hour to check out and there's nothing we can do. Any longer and we will call the police." I replied calmly saying I understood and if she has to be out I will make sure she is but then asked her if there was anything I could work out as far as paying extra, taking the dog myself, or paying any fee or something to prevent this from happening. Caitlin replied no and started listing all the "issues" my grandma has had there and that it's written in the contract she signed and agreed to. I let her speak and then as soon as I spoke she would keep interrupting me with "She needs to be out by 12:30." My grandma has told me before that this little girl has given her problems since I first checked her in there. I left telling her to remember me and that I'd be back to talk to the manager before rush packing 2 cars full of her stuff. She then said I was "making threats" and that she was calling the cops." I turned around and said by saying I was gonna be back to talk to your manager? I said go ahead and call the cops and let them know where we are at as I walked out.
This pandemic has devastated many families and my landlord can't allow anyone new to move into my house I rent until this covid stuff is over. My grandma is super stubborn with refusing to not work and make it on her own. My family and I have been paying back and forth to sustain her living and my plan is to have her complete her required physical therapy here before moving her to California where she can live comfortably. She is safe now and taken care of temporarily thanks to the help of my wonderful lady until me and family get her settled into her new place.
Please don't hesitate to share your opinion with the front desk lady Caitlin and her managers Heather and Mariah. I don't recommend this place to anyone, but I do understand the struggle of ppl having no choice to go there or places in comparison.
I can't believe my grandmother got booted over some bs technicality and I really hope Karma finds it way. I hope that nothing of this kind happens to your grandma, family or anyone you love so be careful. I have been contacted and told that I may have a potential lawsuit involved for the mistreatment and unfairness in service that...
Read moreOn August 18th, 2025, I witnessed one of the most disgusting displays of cruelty and incompetence I have ever seen from any so-called “hospitality” business. Extend A Suites was beyond unprofessional—they were heartless, vicious, and downright inhumane. A disabled veteran and his wife had just come back from the hospital—the poor veteran was so sick he had to be taken back almost immediately. Instead of being shown the smallest shred of compassion, Extend A Suites's staff treated them like garbage and threw them out in the most callous, humiliating way possible. My family and I were absolutely mortified.
This failure of a motel was supposed to be an extended stay. Obviously, people staying on a more long-term basis are usually going to have a significant larger amount of belongings in their room and it would be humanly impossible to remove everything within the motel's 30 minute "time limit". Yet we watched as the staff barked at the wife like drill sergeants, screaming for her to hurry up, as if she was some kind of criminal. She was sick herself, barely holding it together, trying to drag heavy belongings while also caring for two small, harmless dogs and puppy that was only 2 days old. Any normal human being would understand that’s impossible. They demanded she remove the dogs and puppy from the room, forcing her to tie them outside in 110 degree heat while she struggled to move things on her own, even refusing her a cup of water when she asked for one since she wasn't allowed to go back into the room for any.
She pushed herself to the brink, going as fast as she could, while the staff stood there heckling her. The abuse made no sense especially since the young lady was nothing but respectful and cooperative. She had no choice but to leave expensive items behind which were stolen. Of course Extend A refused to take accountability for the situation that they created. The young lady eventually collapsed under the weight of the luggage, sustaining a serious lower back injury. Additionally, she was forced to tie their two small dogs and a tiny, fragile puppy outside and leave them unattended because she was simultaneously being forced to remove the excessive amount of luggage in an unreasonable amount of time, endangering her and the small animals. Extend A Suites continues to withhold the rest of the belongings the wife was unable to move in that short amount of time, and from what I understand, are holding these items hostage including medications essential to Mr. Ty’s health, putting him at severe risk. When he attempted to retrieve these life-saving medications, the front desk employee, Melissa, screamed at him in front of other guests and threatened immediate removal, further escalating harassment and intimidation.
Know this: neither I, my family, nor my friends, relatives and even acquaintances will ever set foot in Extend A Suites again. They monstrously dehumanized and abused a disabled veteran, his wife, their pets in front of witnesses. It was despicable, barbaric, and...
Read moreRooms are comfy. Front desk Heather was sweet as pie upon my arrival. However, yesterday after I ate at waffle house and was walking through motel parking lot with a friend,Heather had told the tall "wanna be" security guard to stop us by the pool area. I told him I was gonna unlock my room door and toss my duffle bag into my room then lock the door and walk my friend to the bus stop. He said I had to register my friend even though we WERE NOT going into my room!?? 😂 As I was walking to front desk as he instructed,he says,"I've been looking for a reason to finally get u kicked out!! 😲" In the office, I was told by Heather that any person walking with me must be registered and that I was in violation... However, Policy Actually states that UNREGISTERED GUESTS IN YOUR ROOM IS A VIOLATION.It was obvious to the naked eye that Heather appeared to be weary and flustered at the fact there were now several people waiting in line to conduct business. I told her that I was simply going to toss my bag in my room and walk my friend to her bus stop. Heather became unprofessional and very condescending to me and said MY FRIEND MUST BE REGISTERED even though she wasn't coming into my room!....really??!!? Although I tried, there was no talking to her as she stated, "I have an office full of people to help so instead just go pack your things and get off my property!!" I still had two more FULL DAYS PAID FOR,and she said "I don't care about that and you aren't getting your $100 cash deposit back either!!" I WAS FLOORED! She was behaving very unprofessional and anti-social as there was no reasoning with her. "I have an office full of people, you need to leave !" SHE FORFEITED MY TWO UPCOMING PAID DAYS, AND THE $100 DEPOSIT, WHICH TOTALS ROUGHLY $300! After leaving the property I emailed corporate office in Texas 3 times in 40 minutes concerning the illegality of her actions and the THEFT of my final 2 paid days and my $100 cash deposit. God willing, I have to believe that corporate office will be professional, unlike Heather, and refund my money as I DID NOTHING WRONG. I will attempt again tomorrow to contact corporate office and if I continue to hear nothing I will pursue small claims court against Heather directly. This property has great potential, however, Heather is a self serving detriment and a STAIN on their reputation. She is unprofessional and I am quite sure that I am not the first victim of her agenda to profit from lower income people like myself. Allowing her to continue to break policy and mistreat decent human beings will only hurt EXTEND A SUITES from thîs point forward. Avoid this motel AS LONG AS HEATHER IS EMPLOYED here. She is the most unprofessional customer service employee I have ever experienced in my 51 years on...
