I would not recommend this salon and will not be coming back. I booked an appointment over the phone for a women's hair cut, based off the good google reviews the salon has. I was under the impression the price was 45$. My appointment time was set for 12 pm and I arrived a few minutes early. Upon arrival I was informed my stylist Jenny was not there and had to be called on the phone. I waited patiently for her to arrive. I was then taken to a hair washing chair where I was shampooed by a women who was sitting and talking with the receptionist. After she shampooed my hair, she left to use the restroom and came back and left me in the chair. Jenny arrived almost 15 minutes late with wet hair that was not brushed. I explained to her how I was looking to cut my hair and even showed her reference pictures. During my visit at the salon, it felt very unprofessional. The receptionist was getting her eye brows done by the women who shampooed me while the women talked about their personal lives. After cutting my hair, Jenny asked if I wanted my hair blow dried. I said yes since that is normally included in a hair cut, I was not informed that it was an additional 25$. I would not have agreed if I had known. Upon checking out, I was then informed about the extra 25$. My whole visit for my hair cut cost me almost 75$. After leaving the salon and taking a closer look at my hair, it is in no way what I had asked for in length or style and I am completely unhappy with the final product of the cut. The face framing pieces she gave me have about an inch gap from the rest of my hair and looks choppy and unblended. I called the salon three times during business hours for a refund or even a partial refund and was sent to voicemail all three times. I do not want my hair to be fixed by the salon, I would just like my money back so I can take my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this salon and will not be coming back. Do not let the good google reviews fool you. This salon is very unprofessional and my hair cut is in no way worth 75$ for how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSalon ā¦. Ha. Wouldnāt call it salon. I wouldnāt suggest going here. New salon, very uneducated. I just moved here from east coast and peaked my head in there to check it out after having lunch... needless to say I will not book an appointment there. There was only one girl there and completely dressed like she rolled out of bed.. I asked for a color consultation and received nothing but more confusion about my color⦠I know my hair isnāt difficult. All I need is my grays covered and wanted to go a little bit lighter.. The girl who gave me the consult kept talking in circles and didnāt understand my basic needs. I felt like she has no confidence in what sheās doing and couldnāt even answer my basic questions about what color line they use and products they use.. They donāt even have any retail products to buy⦠If youāre looking for a knowledgeable stylist and a structured salon this is not the place for you. Cute small salon, definitely has potential but has a long ways to go to reach that potential. Rather go to a Supercuts with some type of structure then the unknowing with this place. Also, I reached out to my hairstylist back home about the red flags I had with the consultation given to me, and the stylist (I have been going to for 25 years ) right off the back told me to stay clear of this place.
On another note⦠the area is full of homeless people, I have no problem with that but while I was having a consultation a guy (who was homeless) kept interrupting asking for āa couple bucksā And when the stylist said she didnāt have anything he asked for the owner saying he always gave him cash⦠That was extremely weird for me..? The whole experience was uncomfortable to be honest I hope only the best for the salon but I really hope they also take this into thought and change...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the first time that I Ever wrote a bad review...this was an Awful and very costly experience. I came in for a cut and color at The Hair Co Salon, saying I would like style in the photo I texted her in advance, but that I needed it shorter than in the photo. I informed her I did not have a lot of time to maintain my hair as I have constant Drs appts as my husband has pancreatic cancer. After the color which did come out ok, I repeatedly indicated I needed my hair shorter. She told me that it would not look good shorter, and I asked again that I need less length and she said that it would be a waste of good coloring. She never explained upfront that if I needed it shorter, the style would have to be different; she just kept repeating that shorter hair on me would bounce up and wouldnāt look good. I called to have the cut redone and she told me I would have to be charged again at a discount rate of $45 for the cut which would bring my total to $471.00 dollars! Instead of making it right, she argued that the Manager would need payment. Also, At this point, she said that "she informed me that if I color/highlighted the top as well as the bottom hair, that it would be more difficult to brush thru"ā¦..which was Never said! What she did say was āDo you want to do both top & bottom layers, repeatedlyā If she Had informed me of this during my visit, I would of chosen to only highlight the top layers like I usually do. To Demonstrate how difficult my hair could be, I even came in barely brushing my hair for the appointment so she would understand what I am dealing with, how knotted and difficult to brush as it is curly underneath and straight on top. They Just want your money and do not care about customer!! So much for Welcoming. ...
