I’ve done three rooms at Eludesions. To use the word “immersive” is a proper understatement. The overall of the experience was great. I knew the place would be special when I noticed the plaque hanging on the door. It seems Eludesions was dedicated to the owner’s mother and in memory of her support of the owner. The environment was fabulous, the clues were creative, and the overall challenge was exceptional. If not for one critique, this would be in the top 3 escape room companies I’ve been to. For context, I’ve done well over 40 different escape rooms, and go to all the companies in any city I travel to.
Here’s my one gripe… The staff. Tyler is the manager and he’s exceptional. The other individuals we’ve met are quite unpleasant. Their customer service has been sub par, and the game master was providing clues without request. Still the environment was so inviting that we wanted to complete another before leaving. We had 5 people and there wasn’t another customer there. In the past, escape rooms have given us substantial discounts for filling their unused bookings. It’s a way of capturing extra dollars, and delighting those hardcore players that you want to come back. In this case, they told us no. It was clear that the person who we asked was uncomfortable engaging in the type of banter we were. Nonetheless, her abruptness resulted in a missed deal.
Overall, we’d recommend this room. It’s fun and an inviting game. I imagine they’ll improve the service over time, so venture in and keep your spirits high. Just don’t expect to get a good deal on a second room while...
Read moreLooking at the ratings I’m pretty surprised on our experience, we arrived at 8:45pm and decided on a room fairly quickly, we were told we could start our room at 9:30. I informed the gentlemen up front I wanted to book the room and everyone paid. He came out at 9:30 and told us that He will let us know once the room is ready but we are going to share it with another group who booked the room, we told him we did not want to share the room with anyone and wanted our group to do it ourselves. He clearly did seem happy about that but it was fair since we had already been waiting and asked him to book it for us. We waited an additional 15 minutes and no one was around. We had to go through the door to the room to get someone’s attention. Another gentlemen came out to assist and told us there was no 930 time slot at all. He did apologize about what happened but did not offer a real solution to the problem. He did offer us other rooms but we would have to wait till 10:30 or 10:45. We were not interested in the other rooms and told us we would have to wait 5 business days for our refund, which interferes with our night since we had already spent a good chunk of our money for the night. People make mistakes and that’s fine but the way it was handled not right. No real solution to issue. The room ended up getting double booked and we were the ones set aside even thought we had waited 45+ minutes. I rarely leave reviews but this needed to be...
Read moreThis was my 4th time visiting Eludesions Escape rooms and it was VERY DISAPPOINTING! I took some visiting family for a night of fun and just left frustrated! Although “The Painters Collection’s” room is very well designed and great for experienced escape rooms gamers (which we are) there were many things that made it unnecessarily difficult and time wasting. The room is very dark, which adds to the experience but makes it extremely hard to see what you are doing at times.
Most frustrating part is the time wasters!! Some of the clues given ABSOLUTELY made no sense and repeating the clues again doesn’t help! There is no timer in the room, the painting periodically lets you know, so you have no concept of how much time you have wasted on a puzzle. A simple timer in the first room could solve this. The volume from the painting were low so we have to play them multiple times..time waster. Lastly there were multiple puzzles that had multiple parts to remember…a simple small writing tablet would help. We were told by the game by the gamer master they got rid of the tablet because people would damage it, simple fix make them pay for it. We signed an extensive waiver, add damage equipment to it. Overall, Eludisions Escape Room is a great place, it’s unfortunate we had a bad...
