Today was my first time going to Beal Beans Roasting Co. The staff behind the counter were, as another post mentioned, very welcoming and kind, immediately offering recommendations.

Although parking may look limited in the front, there's more parking in the back. The inside of the place is stunning and I noted that they even had a little box with children's toys, which I found considerate.

The Sunnyslope area is so pleased to have this cute, high-quality coffee place. There are a lot of minorities in the area who only visit "safe spaces," relying on the input/recommendations of trusted folks, which is understandable with everything going on. I was happy to support a local new coffee shop so I purposely stopped to buy a cup of coffee at Beal beans but it will be my last time. First the menu said it would be "suggested donation" of $4 for a cup of coffee, but I was not offered to give what I could. I was charged $4 plus tax which is pretty spendy for a cup of coffee. Next there was a wait, which was annoying but there was only one girl behind the counter and a couple people ahead of me. Fine. I waited. When I finally got my coffee it wasn't even lukewarm, it was cold. So I waited to be overcharged for cold coffee that really isn't any better than I could've made at home. I had the most incredible experience at this coffee shop! I ordered their pistachio latte, and let me tell you, it was amazing! The flavor was so rich and smooth, and I could tell they used real pistachio cream, which made all the difference. It had the perfect balance of nuttiness and sweetness, without being overly heavy or artificial tasting like some other pistachio lattes I've had. The coffee itself was strong and well-brewed, and the texture was velvety smooth. Honestly, this is one of the best lattes I’ve ever had.
