I want to start by saying I have heard good things about Via Delosantos. My husband and I went out to dinner here on a recommendation. The 2 of us have lived in the sunny slope area for about 9 years before moving out of the neighborhood this last year. I never once stopped in, until recently. Which is strange because I frequent a ton of sunny slope businesses. When I finally did visit, it was meet with MAJOR disappointment. I ordered chicken tacos with beans and rice, which I will say was quite good and the only reason this establishment gets a 2 star rating. My first big issue was just how incredibly hot the bar area is, it was so over crowded (would normally not be an issue) and uncomfortably hot with little to no ventilation. It was awful so we decided to sit down at a table to eat. While I was waiting for my table I had to listen to a staff person argue with a young girl about if she had put guacamole in the bag or not. It was cringe worthy, how unprofessional to argue with a young kid who was being polite and just asking for her guacamole. How about just give it to her and not try to make it out as if she is a criminal stealing your precious guac? Finally we sit down and we order a pitcher of margaritas, because let's be real, it's why I'm here. I get the margaritas and let me tell you, it was hands down the WORST margarita I have ever had. It literally tasted like dishwater with a splash of triple sec and tequila. I was so put off I thought maybe the first pour was watered down so I tried my best to drink half and refill it. Only to be even more repulsed at the taste. I asked for some limes and just started squeezing them into my glass to try to save my drink. My efforts were met with defeat. My margarita was still awful. I looked around and saw other pitchers of margaritas and they looked darker in Color than mine, maybe mine was watered down? Not sure, but I know I am not about to try to complain to someone and get ripped a new one by some lady in the front after I saw how that poor girl was treated. So my husband and I ended our dinner early.
Over all, if you want Mexican food, just go somewhere else. There is equally good food at other Mexican restaurants. This place has little going for it to make it somewhere you...

There is no certification no tags no vests required to prove he is a service animals nor can they ask for anything.law states u can be asked 2 questions. 1is he a service animal 2 what service is he Trained to provide.anything other than...
Read moreThis place was BAD lol. I came in a few weeks ago with an understanding that I wasn’t going to get authentic Mexican food. In fact, I came in search of something Americanized. As someone who’s grown up with the real deal, sometimes you just want to dip a chip and drink a margarita in a place where you know some of the clientele pronounces the ‘L’ in tortilla. Authenticity was not my concern.
What did concern me was the undercooked tortilla on a clumsily made chimichanga. So clumsy, the chicken wasn’t fully shredded and tasted of the poorly seasoned water it was boiled in. The margaritas were poor quality lime waters in a sad salt rimmed glass. It was all just so lazy.
To top it all off, there was no music playing in the dining area. Just the screech of metal on ceramic and low chatter. It was like gathering to eat after a funeral for someone you didn’t know that well.
I invited my partner and my roommate. Felt bad about the weird experience so paid for everyone which didn’t hurt my wallet one bit in case you needed an iota of saving grace.
We should’ve went to the bar area when offered by the hostess when we first arrived because it sounded bumpin’. Or maybe we should’ve just...
