Bleachers Sports Grill — Restaurant in Phoenix

I honestly couldn't be more disappointed in the waitress and service we received that it entirely overshadowed the food and our celebration of two birthdays. Needless to say, we will never return (and we've been several times), and I will advise anyone I know not to patron Bleachers, as well. We should have known right from the start that it was going to be bad service when my father-in-law asked our waitress what was on tap for beer. Instead of naming any beers, she said, with attitude, "there's a list right there" and pointed to the menu on the table. Our table was poorly lit. In trying to lighten the mood, my father-in-law joked that he couldn't see the list because it was so dark. The waitress was annoyed at that comment, too. She then "excused" herself to go turn on the light while we decided on drinks. Things normalized a bit from that point for a while; we ordered our food and an appetizer and waited until it was served. The appetizer came out with no issues. When our food was served, one of the plates was missing (fish and chips). The waitress said it would be right up. This is when it went from okay to absolute garbage. The food didn't come out for 10 minutes (no exaggeration). At one point, since our waitress rarely came by, I had to go search for her. There was no other wait staff around, nor the bar tender, so I poked my head in the back. Our waitress was more upset that I poked my head in the back than she was about our food that had gone missing. Her excuses were "we only have one cook" and "we had other orders." I'm sorry, but those are your problems, not the patrons' problem. Learn how to time your meals and don't cook other meals while an order is still outstanding. We had to ask for drink refills, as well. Honestly, she did less than the bare minimum. To top it off, she never offered to remove the very late dish, and the bar automatically charges 18% gratuity on parties of six or more. She made out like a bandit while doing a terrible job at serving paying customers. Her attitude was trash from the start and only got worse. This place has gone downhill, bad. Bleachers used to be one of our favorite neighborhood dive bars! They had a really nice place, nice help, it was clean and the food was very good.

Iirc, it sold about 5 years ago. It went downhill a little, but the owners seemed to care and tried to keep most things the same. But now the interior even looks bad! It just didn't seem clean from the time we walked in. I hate to leave this review because we've loved coming there for many years. But it's just not the same.

We haven't been there in about a year, so we decided to stop in for lunch last week. We walked in, and immediately I said to my wife... this place stinks! We decided to sit at the bar. Upon sitting down, I put my arms up on the bar. It was so gross, my arms actually stuck to the bar at 11:15 in the morning!

We each ordered a beer and had planned to eat lunch. When we were handed our menus, they each had food stuck on the front of them, and the pages stuck together! If that weren't enough, by sitting at the bar, you've got a great look at the beer taps!

Having bartended for many years in high volume nightclubs, I was grossed out by how filthy their beer taps were. You could see the stains from the beer overflowing the drains as well as the spillage on the Stainless steel behind the taps! If you don't clean those drains daily, they don't drain and overflow the trays. That was the final straw for us. We pushed away our beers and made an excuse to get the hell outta there, and went to Tukee's.

I honestly don't think we'll be back. Bleachers needs an overhaul! It's a great setup and they have good traffic for a neighborhood bar. But they've got to clean that place up. I'm sorry to have to give this review, but hopefully they'll...

The bartender that was serving me was practically immaculate ! She’s just had a baby and at the moment she had stepped out. I had asked two other people for my receipt so I could check out before leaving, the I stopped and ask this woman named “ Sid “. (I asked for her name later) I said excuse me may I have my ticket or whatever it may be so I can check out, I would like to go . Yes I said it just like that. With the worlds most disgusting attitude I have ever encountered at a restaurant/sports bar she said “how about you say please ?! “ I said I’m sorry what did you just say? She said “you could say PLEASE” . This is like the one night in a very long time I have been able to take a moment to myself and enjoy a night until 21:00 And I was completely enjoying my night right until this moment. The complete lack of professionalism and harshnesses that came out of this women’s mouth, turned my enjoyable 2hrs. Right into the drain. I will not be coming back here because of the lack of compassion and professionalism this woman chose. I was polite all night, never demanded anything and used my manners and was extremely patient., as per usual . To be completely let down by this woman’s character. This is a disappointment and a bad representation of the company. Who talks to people like this? Somethings should be done before you lose more than just one customer.
