Save yourself $18 for a "bowl." 1st and last time trying this place. My food is completely inedible. I should have asked for my money back and walked out when they charged more than advertised price for a meal. The steak is so undercooked I can't chew it, the rice (which the plate was not advertised as coming with) is dry and too hard to bite through. Also not advertised but added were red peppers. The taste of peppers overpowers everything so the whole dish tastes like them now. Gross. There was no cilantro and the avocado had more than a 1" black spot. Everything was thrown together, not sliced neatly on a plate as shown. Overall, an "unideal" experience.
Update to response: I think it's wrong for a business to posts details of anyone's charges, good review or bad. The whole point of my review was that nothing I received was as advertised and what I did receive was inedible. There was no description of what came in the food, only pictures flashing by with images. The image I saw (a plate of food) was nothing like the food I received. If I had wanted chicken, I would have ordered it. As it was, I ordered the beef med-rare, not rare. I do not fault you as a business owner for raising your prices when your supplier does. I fault you for not posting the increase but charging for it. Your cashier did not point me to a sign about an increase in the cost of beef, she pointed me to two menus, both of which showed the price I should have been charged. Read moreTruly, truly disappointing "event", yet refreshing customer service and meal. So what do I mean with that statement? Allow me a moment to clarify. I've frequented this location a good number of times. In fact, I've brought co-workers, business guests and family members here. Almost "all" have raved about the meals they have purchased; the "others" are just some of my co-workers for which it is seldom they say anything good about a restaurant or meal. But I digress. On this visit, I purchased my usual (LR Steak Burrito) and anticipated the usual wait time of 10-12 minutes. Unfortunately, and even with a fairly low number of customers (it was 11:39 when I placed my order), I was completely overlooked! Overlooked? Yes. In short, and after 20 minutes of watching other patrons come and go, I went up to the counter (waited another 5 minutes as they assisted others), and then was asked if I wanted to place an order! "No", not smiling either. Anyway, and as it dawned on the young lady at the register that she had forgotten about me, I asked for a refund. Now the "good". Not only did she immediately apologize and provide a refund, she gave me "my" bag of food which was on the shelf behind her (for the past 15 mins - how do I know? - I watched her put it there while I was sitting a few tables from the register - just had no idea that was mine! - yes, was a bit cold, but still delicious). Read moreWent to Protein house for dinner on Nov. 8. I picked up a to-go order of a chicken caesar wrap with a side of fruit. I am a repeat customer. In fact this was my second meal at this location that day! I ate the wrap and when I opened the fruit my FIRST piece I stuck with my fork had a long black hair! I immediately took photos and called to speak with the manager. Her initial response was "the fruit is free so I can not do anything for you". Obviously I did not accept this and she called a higher up who told her to give me a gift card for the price of the meal. FINE! I was happy! I went in to get the the gift card and spend it on the spot for lunch. The manager said she needed a photo copy of my license "to keep on file in case i do this again"!!!!! Like I did something wrong! I do not feel comfortable giving out my full name, address, ID # and whatever other information is on a drivers license. I told her no and she refused to give me the credit. Further more I wasted even more time trying to reach out to Jodi via email before posting. Apparently Jodie is the manager or owner. No response.
