MUST READ!!!! I went to this salon to add more baylage highlights to my hair and for a cut. I showed the hair stylist pictures and felt confident that she was going to be able to accomplish the look. Was I ever wrong! She bleached my entire head and NOTHING about the look was baylage. I was left with about 1-2 inches of my root color and was not blended at all. I had orange spots everywhere and my cut was a complete nightmare. My hair looked like a two year old cut her Barbie dolls hair it really was horrific. Not to mention I was charged over $400 and was told over the phone it would probably cost about $200-$250!!! I could feel product caked in my hair when I left I could not even run my fingers through it. The next day I washed my hair and before I even put shampoo in my hair the toner came pouring out nonstop. I was so upset and did not know what to do because at this point I had a head full of bleached blonde hair and did not want to have her then go back and put low lights in my hair. So I decided to go back to the salon to just have her get out the orange spots she left in my hair and fix my botched haircut. I wanted my hair to at least look like I had baylage plus I was sick that I actually paid $400 for something I did not ask for but there was no way to get what I actually wanted at this point. So I went back a third time and told her just dye it all back to my natural dark color. Simple right? WRONG!!! I was again charged $75 and left with wet hair so I let it air dry. The color turned out green and did not cover at all. The worst part about the entire experience is that my hair is entirely damaged. It is so bad that I cannot even run a wet brush through my hair when it is wet. My hair now dries in one big rats nest so tangled and disgusting. All over my head are split ends that are beyond repair and constantly falls out everywhere. My hair was damage free and mostly my natural color before I went to this salon. I put 1 cup of coconut oil in my hair to try to help it and 5 hours later when I tried to wash it out, almost nothing rinsed out of my hair! With that being said SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME, AND HAIR!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR HAIR DONE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have had various services done at Focal point from the head spa to ipl to the adva laser. Prior to the last time I was there I would rave about this place especially the people that work there. However the scar damage that was done to my face after my last visit has been devastating to me. I went to Focal point on April 19th of this year for an IPL (which I have had done many times before without incident. When I arrived the staff at the desk (who are wonderful and deserve 10 stars) suggested I look into the Adva Laser instead of a regular IPL. The staff incuding the technician LYNNETTE kept saying "no downtime" over and over so I changed my appt to an adva laser treatment. The appt went fine so I thought and off i went. That evening of the 19th my face bubbled up with what appeared to be burn blisters I was HORRIFIED and scared. I could not look at myself in the mirror. I contacted the salon the next day bc the blisters covering my face then became crusted scabs that were leaking. They had me come in and the technician actually had the audacity to tell me the treatment went great and I needed PATIENCE ?! (what happened to no downtime?) Lynette mustve repeated no "have patience!!" 4-5 times as I sit the there with burn blisters that are leaking. Well...today is May 30th (my treatment was April 19th) and all the burn blisters on my face have turned into dark brown pigmented ice pick scars. I used to never wear too much makeup but in order to face other ppl I need full coverage makeup. I am about to start a VERY VERY expensive and long road to fix the damage that was done. I wish I never ever went...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave been to this salon several times over the last few years for highlights/lowlights. With having very light blond hair, just a subtle partial lowlight to complement my existing color was all that I wanted. They know nothing about Arizona blonds! First off the stylist Christy?, was also a receptionist having to go to the desk the whole time with me. She took over 3 hours to do partial lowlights. They could not find my history and the new stylist recommended what she called Caramel. When I think of caramel, I think of beige and very light brown, like caramel candy, right? The lowlights were RED and looked like raspberry koolaid. I should have know she had the same color in her brown hair. I was horrified and she knew it by the look on my face. She said how wonderful it looked. She knew I was unhappy. She said she would call me in a few days to check on it and I could come back in to have a toner put in. I would never let her touch my hair again. A week later, no call from her. When I got home, I looked in the mirror to see splotches of red in very uneven placement. By the way, the lighting is so dim in there you can not see in the mirrors!! I made an appointment the next day to Salon Mila an Aveda salon in Cave Creek to repair it. Focal Point salon is moving their location and have lost all their good stylists over the years, so be warned!!! I can not recommend Focal...
