3/16/24: stopped in this Saturday around 4 o'clock. Unfortunately, the parking lot is not fun. It is small and since one entry is right off Indian School, be careful pulling out because someone may be pulling in. Unfortunately, parking is a big deal for us and if it's bad, we won't return.
The menu? It was fairly large but beware, they don't have the descriptions/ingredients listed on their menu at the counter -- at least, I did not see anything of the sort. So you either have to take up the order taker's time asking "what's on that?" or check out the menu ahead of time so you know what to expect. I ordered the Western burger but sans onions & onion rings, and he said "so you want a regular burger?" but he was smiling & laughing as he said it so I didn't feel too stupid. LOL! He was very cool about so I don't think I was the first person he had to explain that to, ha ha.
The food? It was good. Nothing stupendous, def nothing that would make us want to brave that dinky parking lot again. The garlic fries were a bit on the greasy side, and we both thought the fried zucchini could have been sliced thicker. My sister ordered a shake and I got the Sunkist float. I didn't taste the float but the float was really maybe two small scoops of ice cream in a large 44 oz cup so it was mostly soda.
The staff? Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, so kudos there.
The decor? I have never been to Chicago and boy were their walls full of Chicago paraphernalia (obviously! :-) ), so much so that I don't think there were any blank spots. It was cool to see all that stuff. There was some big blow up in the corner to the right of the counter but I forgot to get a picture. I want to know what it was!
Overall, if you're in the area and want to support a smaller business, def check them out, if not for the food, at least for...

I can’t believe it’s been four years since my first review (below) and I think Chicago Hamburger Co has gotten even better. The menu says that Bobs Big @$$ Burger was inspired by his wife telling Bob he needed something ridiculous on the menu. A man who listens to his wife is a wise man. The picture attached is my burger of choice! Bobs Big @$$ Burger has three cheeses, jammy grilled onions, bacon and onion rings with thousand island dressing (comes on the side for a choose your own adventure!).
This burger is no joke and such a great price.
Everything on the menu is LARGE and such a good price point, especially for the area and much better than the area.
They have many other options for food so there’s something for everyone. You can even order on ChowNow and pick up for your office!
The staff has always been incredible, friendly, fast, CLEAN and efficient! The building is decked out in Chicago memorabilia as well as historical family moments, with booths and tables to sit at.
Chicago Hamburger Company has been around since 1975 and has been a staple in the Phoenix Arcadia area. This is a true mom and pop shop and I had the pleasure of meeting Bob the owner today.
You must swing by at least once, but once you do, you’ll be hooked!
Old review Omg that was a dang good burger! I went in for my first time because a friend recommend it to me. All I had was a basic hamburger and fries. I was told after ordering it would take 15 minutes and it honestly came out in five. Can’t...
