Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Phoenix

If there was an option for zero stars, I would have chosen that. I just had the worst ever restaurant experience ever at this chilis. Let me start by saying our waitress was amazing, however the manager and the kitchen staff are obviously new. My chicken strips were dry and devoid of any breading or crispiness and I asked to send them back. My wifes pasta was also cold to touch and she lost her appetite after eating gross cold cheese sauce. The manager in training did not seem too apologetic or really even sure how to handle the situation. After I got my chicken strips the 2nd go around they still looked nothing like any chicken crispers I had ever seen. After the manager brought my food back, she sat their and insisited on watching me dig into the chicken strips that I could plainly see were prepared wrong. She then explained that they would comp my wifes meal but not mine which is crap because they ruined both of our meals. I took one bite of the wretchid rubbery chicken strip and pushed the plate away in dismay after waiting over a half hour to eat my meal. I told them that that was unacceptable and that I would rather eat lunch elsewhere and the manager quickly grabbed my plate and stormed off without saying a word. Im no restauranteur but im pretty sure serving someone rubbery chicken strips and cold pasta and then embarrassing them in front of a whole restaurant for not wanting to eat or pay for said garbage isnt how I would take care of people. I hope someone at this Chilis takes the time to read this and can fix this issue because I just want some delicious honey chipoltle chicken crispers that are cooked right and dont suck. And...

This particular Chili's location has certainly stepped up its game in recent years, and it seems that the entire chain has followed suit. The atmosphere remains consistently great, and the service is top-notch as always. What impresses me the most, however, is the improvement in menu selections and their competitive pricing.

As a self-proclaimed hamburger enthusiast, I must highlight Chili's burgers. They have truly exceeded my expectations. Not only are they delicious, but they are also satisfying and easy to digest. Being a middle-aged individual, digestion is an important consideration, especially when indulging in flavorful and rich foods. Yet, whether it's their burgers or other items on the menu, everything tastes fantastic, consistently delivers a positive experience, goes down well, and leaves me feeling content. It's not often that you can say all of this about a chain restaurant, but Chili's continues to impress me.

While Chili's has always been above average compared to other chains, over the past five years or so, they have truly demonstrated their commitment to providing great food and exceptional service. This particular location is exceptionally well-managed, with a team of fantastic servers who truly understand the formula for success. This Chili's is always extremely busy and seemingly understaffed or them being understaffed makes them seem very busy. I'm not sure what it is, but the food is solid, it tastes good, it's warm, it's cooked to recipe, but Chili's in general seems to have this weird setup where the servers help each other in sections and that seems to create a lot of missed opportunities, For example: if you were to ask one for a drink the other one gets it, or the other one forgets or vice versa.

Where they lost stars: The atmosphere and service on this particular day were given a lower amount of stars due to the staff being extremely overwhelmed and me and my group watching a manager and then a second manager continue to BS with the same table for over 20 minutes while the hostess and the rest of the staff drowned in tables while being being double sat and we watched a young gal get triple sat with 2 5 tops... And 1 4 top... let me give you some advice triple seating takes away from the experience and hurts the server because they are overwhelmed and it affects their tip in the end you're not doing anyone a favor by overwhelming them as a server and the customer does not like waiting 15 minutes for their drinks because they...
