I have been coming to this location for over a year every Wednesday night with my friends ranging from 3-8 people for the build your own burger and unlimited toppings. Over this, we've had a couple mess ups where I was charged a la carte for the toppings instead of it being included in the price, but normally the server would fix it.
Last night, 3/6/2024, myself and my three friends were waited on by Amelia. While the experience started ok, it quickly went down hill. Normally I order the sweet potato tots with my BYOB, and I noticed on the new paper that that option is gone and a new one of a side Caesar salad was added. So when Amelia came to take my order I asked if they still served them and was told no and that they have served them in a while. I asked when as I have been coming in every Wednesday for a year and they had them but knew two weeks ago they had ran out. Her response was that they stopped over a year ago and that they just added the Sweet potatos fries to as a substitution instead. I advised her that one has always been on there and the new option was the caesar salad. Now I understand that things change and I am ok with it (and I ended up getting the sweet potato fries) I do NOT appreciate being lied to not once but twice. At this point she became dismissive and I just handed her my BYOB paper. From that incident on it was near impossible for us to get service or refills.
Then finally when my friends and I are ready for our checks we had to wait 10 minutes before the first check got to the table, where my friend noticed that he was charged a la carte for his toppings of his BYOB. He had to wait an additional 5 minutes before Amelia came back to bring this up, and then another 10 minutes to get the corrected check. When I got my check, after my friend has paid and left my BYOB was also rang up as a la carte toppings as well.
Needless to say I'm not thrilled with her as a server, especially on a dead night like last night where there was 3 tables inside, maybe 2 outside and everyone else was...
Read moreThey made some good improvements asthetically, food has pretty much stayed the same with a few additions like pizza which is pretty good however, the quality of service and management has just plummeted.
They had a really good staff prior to the change to Arcadia Tavern Jen being one of them and they let a lot of them go. My wife and have tried it twice now and the results are the exact same.
Our 1st trip we just had just ordered the pretzel and a couple of drinks. We got our drinks roughly 10 minutes after we got our pretzel. It was busy so we thought nothing of it. We asked to check out as we had somewhere we needed to be and that took another 10 minutes just to get the check...
Our second trip we ordered a bottle of wine first and then after looking at the menu for a little we ordered a pepperoni pizza and the chicken sandwich. Again we received our food and it just happed the manager dropped it off. He asked if we needed anything and we told him we ordered a bottle of wine before the food and still hasn't come. He said he'd go check on it and promptly returned as the bottle of wine had been sitting at the bar for a very long time. When he came back he apologized for the wait and proceeded to attempt to open the bottle of wine.
Let's just say he was very unsuccessful, not sure if he has ever opened a bottle of wine before... He twisted the wine key all the way through the cork so we got to enjoy a nice bottle with a bunch of little cork pieces in it.
Sad to say we most likely won't be back unless they bring back some of the talented...

Our trivia team (team name “Haboobs”) is serious about trivia, and our quest to conquer the rest has led us here, to Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers on Indian School Rd. This is no trivial matter.
This is a serious place, y’all. Serious cheeseburgers, serious beer selection, with a serious selection of screens of sportsball on offer, but most of all, they’re serious about service. Our server, Ashley, was next level. Seriously. Not only did she expertly manage the bar, but she took care of our 8 top with ease and experience. Nothing felt contrived or disingenuous; she was skilled and sweet, not just with us, but with her other guests as well. She’s got that special something, that thing you can’t teach someone; they either got it, or they don’t. And she got it. Whatever it is. She’s GM material, no doubt.
Top notch service, cold beer, cold cheeseburgers…? Wait, I read that wrong. The cheeseburgers aren’t supposed to be cold (they weren’t, mind you). My burger was warm and moist, just like it should be. Cooked medium, to perfection, with that pink in the middle. You know what I’m talking about.
In the end, the “Haboobs” took the silver medal. Team trivia is serious business, y’all. The competition here is fierce! But don’t you worry, we’ll be back to claim what is rightfully ours. The glory of...
